How fast is the S550
So how fast is it??? Whenever I go with my dad places he drives it very slowly...but everyone says its fast....so im really really confused. But I guess it doesnt matter since hes thinking of trading it for an S65 but can someone please help??!? BTW I drive an E63 that he bought for me (19 y/o) which is absolutely amazing. But most of the time when we go to dinner we take his car. Is it slow or not???

You realize you just told the WHOLE form you're completely spoiled, right? He bought you an E63...and your 19. You should grow up and buy your own car.
S550 isnt fast...but it's not as slow as a prius either.

i think that is the only thing he wanna tell us that his dad bought him a E63... as you can seee that his 'question - is s550 fast?' is really stupid and retarded.

You *****es suck! I was trying to prove a point saying that my E is really really fast and Ive heard people say that about the S to but the way he drives it isnt, so I wasnt sure, and yes I know its a stupid question!

Dotn worry about people bashing you kid. When I as 16 my dad got me a 3 yr old SL500 and In college I had an SL600, Im in the car business now in my mid twenties, I have absolutely loved cars my entire life and you probably do too, so just enjoy it now incase one day you aren't as succesful as your dad and can't enjoy an E63. People gave me hell back then too but you know what I didn't listen, i just knew I was fortunate to have a really nice father....who happened to be in the car business as well. AS for the S550 its an amazingly fast car I have one and an SL55 and honestly the 550 is definately a missile. im not a liar either you can see my previous posts, I posted pictures in the SL55 forum under the auction price thread. People are always going to be jealous but take it with a grain of salt bc you know what any joe blow can go to capitalone.com get a 5 yr financing blank check to his door in 1 day and go out buy a 50K SL500 and pay 1K a month...big f'in deal...i sell these cars, I know how many guys do that everyday. Just bc you have an E63 doesn't mean your a gazillionaire people leave the kid alone, E63 is great but you know what high shcool tuitions these days are 25K+ a yr for a good private school here, thats 2K/month....you could finance an E63 for less than that.

nobody has given me **** on here at all, look in the Sl55 forums, Ive been helping everyone figure out pricing bc Im in the auto industry, Im just sick of all the people on this site who hate on people for no reason at all. There are many things in life more important than owning an MB, and I promise you its not that big a deal to own one. I jsut paid 64K for an '04 SL55, you could hypothetically 60 month finance that with 5K down for 1K/ month....you could make 75K per year and afford an SL55, would it be wise? no but its very doable, you don't have to be a millionaire to own these great machines and theres more flamers than not on this site. I posted pics of my MB's where are your pics? Exactly leave the kid alone, 75K car is a big deal, but say this kids father is an executive with a 800K per year payday, thats 70K per month, buying the kid an e63 is no biggie. I know its ahrd to believe but some people actually may make more money than you and if this kids father bought him an e63 i say congrats your dads a very great guy who knows what you love and does what he can for you to enjoy life.

SO layoff, what im saying is simple an 80K car is not that big deal if some guy bought it for his kid, for any of you who actually own these cars, you know how much money you make to afford these cars, and you know that buying your kid an E63 isn't a big deal if your sending him to a private school, but to most of the guys scouring this site making $30K a year they think its fun to bash this kid, and Im saying leave him the F alone. Say what you want about me, but Im not a pretender...I can actually knowledgably post about these cars and have done so in the SL forums...having 4 SL's, a ferrari, and an S it gives me that right, the guy who said something rude earlier with a jeep cherokee...this isnt your place to talk, learn but you have no input on these cars, get one and we'll talk

top speed limited to 250km/h - no idea what it does with limiter off...maybe around 270km/h????

Im sorry but I disgree with your last comment....0-100 in 5.4s is fast...but then again u drive a 55 kompressor, so maybe thats slow for you!

really thats the whole neighborhood look at the pics closely....see the same white house across the street in the pic of the ferrari and the SL's...its the same house, my house, i hate forums, i am a wholesaler...read my previous posts i posted auctions prices for everyone you think anyone has access to all those numbers. So before you start bashing me do some research, I do actually own all of these cars. And yes most of the people on these forums are full of it....do most old men with money post on forums? Some do, but most do not....im not an old man im a younger guy, and I thought sharing info on these cars could help net me some customers and you know what even with 50 posts, I've had 3 people want me to source them a car. If you lookinto the sl55 forums under the auction prices thread you will see that i am very knowledgable about these cars unlike most who post in these forums. I've been around the car business since i was a child I know all the in's and out's.....so when people say my new car was delivered today and then proceed to take a pic of an s63 at the dealership yea more often than not theyre full of it, i only listen to the advice posted by those who post a pic of the car at their home and have useful info to share. This all started bc i said to lay off some innocent kid whose dad could have bought him an e63. For all you guys who actually own an S class you know that ponying up money for an e63 for the kid isnt that big a deal....im not sayin you should give a teen 500+ hp...but if you wanted to, you very easily could thats all i stated.

Go and reread what I wrote. What I said was not rude. I merely stated that should someone choose to say they have an E63, members here will have an opinion about it. Maybe you didn't see, but I complimented you for presenting an alternate viewpoint.
As for your comment to learn but I should have no input on these cars, you should read the rules of MBWorld. Where does it state that I have to own the car to post in that forum? What if I sold my hypothetical S? Do I forfeit my right to post? What if my father has an S; do I have the right? What if I have a job doing design work for the S, but I can't yet afford one? Do I have the most high, most exaulted and prestigious privilege of posting on an internet forum? These are serious questions, Bunnyboy. Do you think you are better than me? I bet you I know about a hundred times more about cars than you do, but I don't have to flaunt it.
