I don't have an S-class (an E63 instead) and not the 8800 (8310 from AT&T) but given that they use the same bluetooth modules and hardware, I hope my comment will help: in my case, the BB has worked very well with the BT module and the only thing is that my address book is too big to fit into the BT book so I have to limit the categories that I link with the BT when in the car.

Yes it does work. I use my 8830 from verizon and its great. You can sync yr contacts to store them on the address book.

Called mbwireless and found out that I would need the newer bluetooth to make the address book download into the car phone. The BT I currently have on the '08 was bought back in March 2006 when I bought the '07.
