Photos of the new "C"

I took these photos today just west of Las Vegas in an area called Red Rock.

The road that goes thru Red Rock is 13 miles long, one way, and has lots of twists and turns. Speed limit....35

What a great vehicle....power, handling and great looks !

Enjoy !!!!

It's a long one....

1.) iPod Integration Kit.

2.) P2: Dynamic Rear View Monitor and Night View Assist...so I can drive at
night with the headlights off

That's it.

Impressive-sounding rd

My biggest issue w/mtn twisties....and part of why I hate driving anything less well-engineered than a new CL in twisties (or anywhere) is the signif risk of frontal collision vs an oncoming car being driven sloppily across lanes....in my expce, vast majority of the sloppily-driven cars are not new AMG/F/P, but rather low-value and/or older Volvos/various SUVs/Audis/Prius, etc....Darwinian selection I suppose....

Are u referring to the 13 mile loop road that I mentioned above? If so, it's one way and 2 lanes wide. Nice !!

If you're not, I don't get your comments on issues w/mtn twisties...

Mark...come to Vegas, drive west on Charleston Blvd. for about 10 miles and you've got all those red rocks u want. And your own 13 mile loop to test your driving skills...not that I would do that

Oh and bring lots of cash to "risk" , err.... donate to the casinos

When I saw the subject line of this thread, I wondered, "what's the big deal about a piddly C class and.... why is someone posting that on an S-Class forum".....

That CL is incredible!

Nice, very nice.

Yes, I might have to "move" over the the CL forum but it's not very active, certainly not as active as here. So I'd rather stay here...ya never know maybe I'll trade over to an S65, once MBZ "adjusts" the power progression so as not to break the rear tires loose so easily

Surprising.....considering most CL's are driven by single guys looking for attention and have nothing better to do with their time......

JUST KIDDING!!

Actually, I too am surprised by the activity here..... considering most S-class guys are self absorbed egomaniacle types who have too many things to do besides idling on car forums

Not kidding about the latter.

NevadaJack (former S550 owner) has many beautiful photos of Red Rock over in the X164 GL section. He's got a GL550 now.

Yeah...
And we love it, every minute of it.
Better be that, than:
not - self absorbed
not - egomaniacle types
not - have too many things to do
not - dling on car forums

BTW
Do you have a mirror at home?...
It's a joke, I know you do.
But do you use it?

I'm being polite here,
I'm not suggesting for you to go, hug a tree and sell that ugly gas hungry NEW benz... or maybe I do ?

Just today I witnessed a brand new CL AMG get flat-bedded right after a "Darwinian-selectee" had smashed it against a downtown parking meter right in front of my loft building. So I really do not buy the connection of good sense and the less than 1 year old, over $150K automobile purchases, at least when measuring the space between an object and a front fender.
