AMG package on S500?
I am considering putting AMG package on my -08 S500, mainly to improve exhaust sounds. I know many of you have done it, so can you hear the difference?

Seriously, one can have what one prefers, no problem to me. There should be threads already covering different options. Was your intention to change the rear bumper too?

I found few topics where were pictures S500 (or S550) with AMG package, but I
don't remember there was any discussion about the pipes loudness
If anyone could take video of S500 with AMG exhaust I would really appreciate it

Yeah, I thought I would change rear bumper, front bumper, sides etc all that comes in AMG package. And I think the rear bumber is quite must in the changing list if you want change exhaust pipes

Thanks guys!
I already have 19' AMG wheels (I think they are the same that used in S65) and I would like to continue make it look little more sportier and sound it too! In the US AMG-kit for S550, is there two or four exhaust pipes?
S63 or S65 would be the smartest move if I would live e.x in US where isnt much snow and cars are much more cheaper. I think S63 costs here about 280k
euros. And half of the year it would be pain in the a*s because it doens't have 4matic
Does aftermarket exhaust void the warranty?

Here are the part numbers and pictures from the AMG-mercedes web site.
My S550 already has the AMG treatment (including ABC) but I like the look of the quad exhaust and have been planning to see how much it would cost to swap out on my car.
I also like the steering wheel, and have to say that the gear levers on the current car seem to be playstation controller inspired.
The S63 clip is from the Motor trend review...

US-spec S550 w/AMG-look have 2 exhaust tips....but I don't believe sound is any different from std 550....
Voiding warranty w/aftermkt stuff is always a murky issue, even in US w/its consumer-friendly laws.....warranty costs are a major issue for profitability of mfr...and w/today's computer systems/software, easier for mfrs to crack down on dealers that have a "conflict of interest" by peddling aftermkt stuff....customer who spent money on aftermkt stuff is likely to be screwed in any crackdown....
US-spec 63/65 have 20" wheels; I believe EU has many 63/65 w/19" wheels....if true, would guess 63 w/winter tires (on 19" wheels; don't believe that 18" wheels are compatible w/63/65's large brakes) would be a fine choice for most urban EU winter driving (Porsche even has factory-spec winter tires available for 997GT2)....
BTW, my sympathies as a car nut re: your car prices and winter....part of why many car nuts leave NYC for CA is to reduce car costs.....CA has world's cheapest cars, esp in context of some of world's best weather/topography/roads.....life's simply too short to drive a 4Matic....
