looking to buy 07 s550
i have found a 2007 s550 with amg package, night vision, etc. with 16000 miles for 69k....jus wondering if there was any problems with the 2007 model or major defects......also is this a good deal or should i work them down more.... thanks in advance

You can buy a new one for around $8K more with full warranty. I think $60K would be a good price for that car. Maybe a little more if it's truely pristine.

The prices run the entire spectrum depending on the options. I have seen an 07 selling for $59,xxx this weekend in nothern Cali. (with practically no options) I haven't had any issues with my 07, and I have 15K miles on it.
If there is one thing I would suggest, is to make sure you understand the different options available on the S-Class and make sure you get one with the options you want and not solely price. Some of the options are priceless, and make the car that much more enjoyable. I have never owned any mercedes previously and bought my S550 because of how the ABC makes the car drive .
IMHO options outweigh the year, i.e get an 07 with ABC over an 08 without.

gopixjatt: nkole is on to something... You can't get a S550 with Amg and night vision (P3 PKG) for $8k more, but it is close enough and 4.9% financing is available on 2008's.

I almost bought a used 08 S550 a about a month ago for $63.5K. Had an original MSRP of $99K and had 16K miles on it. I decided to go for a new 08 instead. There is a used white/beige 08 S550 on craigslist in the Bay Area right now with an asking price of $65K.
