Wow its worst the W I simenson...

They said the S550 ( My mother's car ) Entire car doesnt have mercedes parts. She had an accident before at the rear of the car nothing been replace at the front at all. Just the rear all she had was a fender bender she hit the curb.

The guy said they wont even take in the car in trade. Before I made the appointment i already said it had an accident I have been shopping around for an SL to. They said we will beat every price out there and take in your car in trade for a higher price.

So excited as she was and me we drove all the way down the freaking new port beach at 5pm RUSH hour took us 2 hours to get our asses down and they said that ****.

( I had it appraised at w i simenson they said everything is good and certified it to and gave us paper work and an offer of 66,000 dollars for the s550 )

Just wasnt happy with the SL550 offer they said no discount msrp. Fletcher jones SUCK big time.

No never been downtown LA benz yet. So far W i, Fletcher and probably going to go to keyes.

Keyes dont discount much though. So yeah. Maybe will give mbzdtla a shot. We will see.

Fletcher just sucks. Thought being such a big dealership they would be like awesome and stuff but sadly they are junk....

Try MB South Bay in Torrance. Suggest you negotiate via e-mail, when you've got a deal then spend 2 hours in the car.

FJNB is hit or miss. I went in there initially for a SL55 AMG .. spoke to some douchebag who turned me off on buying a car that I went out and bought a plane with the same money.

fast fwd to 2006 .. went in to look at the ML with a new sales team and they are GREAT. No pressure, no 500 phone calls in 2 weeks, etc. Ended up not buying it.

2007 - went back to the same guys, bought an E550 from them.

2009 - they sold my friend two E350's at a great price, great service, etc.

So FJNB has a bad rep but I found they're a mixed bag.

FJNB is the worst! First they tell you on the phone that they are the lowest priced dealership in California. Then the sales guy (who doesn't know anything about the product) try's to tell you that the price you have from another dealership is not accurate. In fact, he tells you to go buy the car from that dealership.

Total waste of time.

Whether SF Peninsula or BH or NYC/Greenwich, there are only 1-2 competent MB dealers in each region and at each dealer there are 1-2 competent, decent salesguys who have longstanding relationships w/repeat custs

Like much in life, the most profitable, repeat custs are treated fairly by the most competent salesguys and techs at dealers convenient to where most of big money in region lives/works

Know many guys on LA's Westside who are major repeat MB/AMG buyers (some of whom are from SiliconValley but just have wkend houses in BH area and keep a couple new AMGs down there) who are extremely pleased w/their sales and service expce at MB BH (Autobahn tends to be dominant dealer for this crowd up on SF Peninsula); life is too short to travel to trailer park deluxe NewportBch if can easily get new Mercedes (and have it competently serviced) in BH

Bh benz is alright. They have good service just expensive pricing. Hardly ever discounts anything.

I think keyes would do the job. Hopefully. Family going car hunting again this weekend hopefully my mom would just decide to get something.

Told get get the CL550 with amg package that would be great but she is still leaning towards the SL though. We shall see.

Hell fletcher jones is just lame, what is the point in giving people promises and dragging down there and in the end critizing what you got and not giving anything lame crap right.

Again, I think it depends on which sales guy you get at FJNB.

My guy price matched for me, and for the two E350's (purchased sparately) to the lowest price offered by anyone else.

At the same time I've seen some other sales guy at FJNB refuse to go below MSRP on a plain ole on the lot SL550.

Like someone mentioned, each dealer probably only has 1-2 good sales guys and 1-2 good service guys.

its not the sales guys fault. whenever u have a trade involved everything changes. people want top dollars for their trade but dont want to pay anything for the new cars. think about it if the prices ofnew cars came down so did the value of ur trade.fact....................

Excuse me? Top dollar?????? Mercedes benz W I simon appraised it and gave me paper work for the car appraised @66k. So it wasn't top dollar that i am after. I told them the same thing i told fletcher jones accident at the rear they said everything good to go. On top of that the whole car wasnt change was just the rear 2 wheels as it was a rear accident right wheel hit the curb. So I said you won't even match what the other dealer gave us? And he said no he offered 50k so i think thats a rip off. And we werent hunting for a great deal either just 1 that is not MSRP nice colors and nicely equip. In general the sales guy who helped us out sucks big time in fletcher jones.

what year S550 u got. chk edmunds trade in value on the car. Usually the dealer will give u 2 or 3 thousand below the lowest dollar amount shown in the book. factor in the economy, just gets worse. The bigger the dollar amount of the new car the harder it falls.
also what do u mean by "entire car not having Mercedes parts"??????

kbb for a fair trade is 60500, with an accident and market conditions 54 to 57 would be a fair trade. dealership will in turn sell the car for around 60 to 65k.
if u sell on ebay u might get 60 yourself but will lose the trade in tax credit...good luck and happy hunting

Wow that's surprising considering the amount of spam mail I get from FJ pitching just about every sales line out there. I even got an email the other day saying that "no trade-in will be refused"....

Wow. That really sucks.

Did I say that really sucks?

Move to TX - 1/2 of CA already has.

On second thoughts - no, stay back where you are.
