Is this a good price for a 2007 S550 for $42,950 with 42,000 miles. I viewed the car today but I will have inspected by outside company. It has a one owner and no damages on the CarFax.
Any advice or comments would be appreciated? MB Ewing Autohaus here in Dallas does not do any inspections.
It's selling at www.ecarone.com
Thanks,
Ernie

How long are you going to keep the car? That car doesn't have any options, I think your are short changing yourself. They haven't even updated the Command Screen so you can play DVD's .

At least 4 years or longer. I didn't notice the Command Screen but playing DVD's is not a big deal for me. It did have the iPod connector. Can I use iPhone/bluetooth or does it still need an additional adapter?Originally Posted by irieblue

I looked at the photoes, doesn't look like a good car.
Basic, P1 car without features. No AMG styling, no trunk closer, driver seat and door handrest heavily worn. This car would see about 37-39k at the auction, it's a bottom end car.
It's not a bad purchase if you are trying to get into an S550, but on a E-Class budget :-)

The car interior is not in bad shape. I viewed the car yesterday. Your right no AMG styling but that increases the cost of the car. Since I can't purchase the car from the auction I have to pay a bit more. The car is nice.
I will offer $41,500.
It has:
Wood Wheel trim.
Premium I Package, Factory Navigation System, Power Rear Sunshade, ABS Brakes, Air Conditioning with Dual Zone Climate Control, Harmon/Kardon Stereo Sound System with AM/FM/Satellite Ready Radio and CD-Changer with MP3 File Playback, Auxiliary Input, iPod Integration Kit, Clock, Cruise Control, Digital Info Center, Dual Front Airbags, Dual Front Side Airbags, Homelink System, Intermittent Wipers, Keyless Entry, Power Glass Moonroof, Leather/Wood Trimmed Steering Wheel, Dual Front Power Seats, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, Power Steering, Power Windows, Rear Defogger, Rearview Mirrors With Integrated Turnsignals, Steering Wheel Controls, Tachometer, Tilt and Telescopic Steering Wheel, Wood Trim, Front Heated/Air-Conditioned Seats, Dual Front Front Memory Seat Position, Xenon Headlights, and much much more! (see full list of options below).
Thanks,
Ernie

Thanks Raj! Is this a good price? Are you in the Dallas area? It still has warranty for another 8,000 miles. Originally Posted by RajwanyS550

That list of features is a base S550 feature set - keyless entry and iPod Integration kit are the extra few things that you are getting. I think you look a bit more and get a used P2 + AMG car for 5k more, if you're not in a hurry.
Either way, you will end up with a car you love - either it's this one, or one with a bit more features. If other features like rear view camera, parktronic, distronic are very cool, but it's your call. The reason I think AMG is important is if you plan to keep the car say 4-5 years, it will continue to look modern as the new body comes out. The base model S550s will look very aged at that point. The AMG styled cars will continue to look modern much longer - say 7-10 years.
