Problems linking bluetooth with iphone 4

Has anyone else had this problem? My 08 S550 recognizes and authorizes the phone and the phone does too but it won't work. the phone shows it as disconnected.

Do I need additional hardware to make it work? What's a puck and what does it do?

I have the same problem.

The dealer told me I need to purchase a different cradle than the one I have today ($499), I cant believe it that I need to change the cradle for iPhone, did you find any other solution?

iPhone 3GS OS4.01 Bluetooth pairing issues

I too am having the same issues with pairing my phone with the bluetooth device on my 2007. The blue lights flash on the device but the iPhone does not recognize it.

Has anyone paired with the latest operating system for the iPhone (4.01 I think)?

I have my car in for servicing at MB right now...hopefully they can figure it out.

"Puck" and wireless connections

2007 S550. Same puck as pictured earlier in thread.

When I was stalled trying to get my Motorola hand held to work through the command, I went to this site--wireless4mb.com

The information provided helped me stumble through things. I am up and have never lost the connectivity. Good luck.

You have to pair with both the car and the puck. Pair with the car first then hold the star emblem on the puck until it starts flashing and find the device in your Iphone bluetooth settings and select select the device. Once you've done that go into the Command Unit under phone and select bluetooth and authorize your phone. This should completely connect your Iphone.
