Well - after 2.5 years scooting around in a G37S, decided to pull the trigger; got a Black/Black 2010 S550 with Prem 2 package. Out the door for $83K - think that it's a pretty good deal and they sweetened it with the winter event Mbrace for 3 years and Apple gift card.

Still getting used to the car, awesome drive and features but obviously the change in driving dynamics is substantial Definetely has a lot of wow power - all the friends that have seen it have been impressed (impressed is probably an understatement).

Nothing out of the norm so I'll skip the pics, only post buy mod I'm looking at atm is window tint.

Any suggestions/recommendations welcomed - I'll be lurking the forum and let you know if any issues arise. Happy Holidays!!!

Congrats on the S,you'll love it. I see you're from HI? I used to lived there...wish I could move back! I don't think you have a choice on the % on the window tint there,but 35%? The car will look darker anyways because the oem glass already have an reflective glass. Btw Global tint is the best tint out there now,so you might wanna look into them.

You did a good thing. You are telling friends you are strong.

My son is now in our business and he changes his car to ML Mercedes. My friends and the family laugh and laugh and laugh all day. I come to work and tell him the stupid car needs changing. I get a S550 with p2 packages for him and teach him that he must work strong for 600 Mercedes or 65 Mercedes.

OK - hopefully we can return to normalcy(?) now; filled the tank for the first time - averaging 15.9mpg which doesn't seem bad for a new car and especially in view of the long idle periods during the dealer introduction. Only nits that I've discovered are the plastic paddles that for me anyway are just finger rests.

Thanks for the suggestion phatisfy - checked with Global and they suggest the metallic tint, and honestly I'm just a bit hesitent to use metallic due to my ignorance of whether the potential interference with on-board electronics is an urban myth or has substance...still researching...
