Pretty new here but I have been on car & boat forums a ton, these arguments make this forum look like crap.
If a guy wants to paint Barney on his freaking car none of our business it's his. People should mind their own business and let others do whatever they legally want.

The main things about the sedan that I liked were the looks (it looks awesome) and the price. I think the coupe is *** ugly but it sure was a fast car. It was probably the worst car I have owned though. Go through my posts and find the CTSV thread.

Kid I've ridden more company S than you could imagine. Now I'm retired in a country full of problems, so I went to the C to go unnoticed without becoming a target. To inform you, what is called C350 Luxury in the US is produced in Germany as C350 Elegance, with a few differences, standard and optional. Nice car for 83 Grand.

If it is companies I guess they never did so well and thats why you've had so many and are still driving a C.

AMG is 75% a clever marketing gimmick. Yes, it's a nice bit of tuning, don't get me wrong. The cars are undoubtedly great.
But now that AMG is wholly owned by Mercedes it's just a way of differentiating models in their lineup and allowing self-selected price discrimination.
All companies of all types do it - since they are not allowed by law to price discriminate based on the wealth of a given customer, they launch a "premium" line of their products and let the wealthier customers self discriminate and self differentiate.
Some people here buy into this more than others. I'm sure Mercedes are very happy that there are people out there willing to fight for their premium badge and give Mercedes their money in the process.

About C350 elegance. In america there is just c-classes and e-classes, outside of america there are three types of trim for this cars: Top-notch is "Avantgarde" next goes "Elegance" and last one is "Classic". They look a lil different, for example black mercedes that is avantgarde will have a trim around the car that is matching car's color + it will have chrome strip in it. Elegance would have non-matching trim with chrome strip. Classic will have non-matching trim without chrome strip. And also avantgarde clearance is the lowest, then elegance, and the highest is classic.
