Daytime Running Light
Dear all... How do you switch on the daytime running light? It says I have to switch off eng. in order to switch on daytime running light. Does anyone here knows how to do it?

It's in the speedo info center, having a brain fart for the exact name but scroll over in there and use the left steering wheel controls to find it. Scroll around it's in there. Sorry for not giving more exact directions

use the right/left arrows on your steering wheel,and under settings(if I recall),hit ok. and a screen should show up.You should be able to see a window that say's "daytime running lights on/off>?

So didn't you try to turn the engine off then? The warning must mean that the car does not accept the change to the settings "while driving" because it could be a safety issue, not that it would only keep DRLs on while the engine is off.

Could it possibly be your location? Or whatever country the car was originated for. Such as a car destined to Canada, you can not turn off DRL's? Just a thought.

I ordered it from Germany but drives it in Malaysia. I believe my dealer ordered it as in uk spec. I just called the dealer and hopefully they can sort it out.

Daytime running lights (LED DRL) are a low-cost method to reduce crashes. It can improve the noticeability and detectability of vehicle in the central and peripheral fields of view.
