Does anyone know where to get a Service/Repair manual for the 2007 and up S550? I have tried Ebay and A Google search but can't find anything. I did find a parts manual on Ebay but looking for something more in depth.

If you are from the US, you can subscribe to Startekinfo and gain access to WIS. The same service is available for Europe, in some other places this service is not officially available.

Thanks for the info but I was looking more for a DVD or PDF file. Not that interested in paying a monthly fee for it, an expensive one at that ($18.00 a day!).

you would have to settle for aftermarket publisher, e.g. chiltons,
clymers, motor, haynes, etc. MB/Bentley hasn't produced one
in print for over 10 yrs. the last factory DVD was right about the
same time.

if you live in an area serviced by a large metropolitan library, you
should inquire whether they allow you free access to Chilton
and/or All-Data (as we do here in Seattle)

only the parts diagrams are free...to NoAm residents. the service data requires a fee

I DEFINITELY don't think Chiltons makes a manual for the w221.....

Google Mercedes WIS 2008, that's the program you'll need to run. No .pdf's either.

aftermarket service manuals rarely approach the detail in factory published
manuals. Chilton is no different....but they do have modicum of coverage
for 221

Within a day you can download all the WIS documents you are interested and then you have your collection of pdf-files.

You did not expect getting the car for free, why should you expect the workshop info for free (specifically if you do not have another free option).
Your choice anyway, if you don't want to pay, you do not have to pay.

Ebay sells service manuals for the BMW's. I don't understand why there's none for the Benz?

Those are all a DVD based program just like Mercedes. The only paperback service manuals for Mercedes are the C-class, and for BMW it's the 3-series.

Just realize all of the DVD manuals on ebay are bootleg and illegal (I think, but they should still work). The Mercedes WIS program covers the technical manuals for every Mercedes.

Do yourself a favor. If you're good with computers, google "2008 Mercedes WIS"
