My new 2011 S550

Just picked up a couple days ago. Traded in my 2008 s550.

Congratulations, I assume this has the twin turbo V8 now. Any initial impressions on the new engine versus the old? Have you noticed improvements in the fuel economy?

I don't believe you are correct. The MY 2011 S550 still has the N/A engine, not the new generation of engines. Those will be available later in 2012.

This is 2011, still has the old engine.No significant difference. Although, it could be my imagination but it does seem a bit more responsive on the throttle. Could just be cause its brand new.

I did a 27 month lease so by the time it ends the new body will already be on the market with the kinks worked out. Not to mention the dealer knocked almost $20k off the sticker. No way were they gonna do that with the 2012.

My bad, I haven't kept up as much as I would have liked with the current stable. It seems you got a great deal, and your thought process makes a lot of sense.

i have noticed better acceleration, colder a/c , better massage feature, and definately much better stereo..what do u think
