hello there, never did get anything man. I am so frustrated with this thing. The sunshade is stuck open and the motor makes terrible noise.

I think the only way that headliner is going to come out is by removing the windshield. As far as fasteners that hold it up, I really don't know as I've never removed one.

I don't think you need to do that, there has to be an easier way. Apparently this Pano roof problem is a common one amongst the W221

I watched them build S classes in Stuttgart and when they installed headliners they were putting them in through the windshield. I highly doubt you can fold those headliners and they would survive.
Maybe I'm miss understanding what you want to do. Do you just want to take it off enough so you can access the motor and sunroof assembly? if so then you would not have to remove the entire headliner.

Phatisfy, this is exactly what I'm looking for on my 07 E63, is literature like this available somewhere online or can you tell me where you found it for this gentleman? I'm trying to access my Sirius antenna to fix a suspected loose connection. Wherever that document came from I'd love to own the whole set!

Hey guys,
im currently working on my vehicle. I took the headliner off and replaced the sunroof motor (motor on the pasanger side). However, the issue is unresolved. The sunroof still wont close.
I noticed the "drilling type" noise after the sunshade closes, when holding the button went away after replacing the motor, but the sunroof still wont closed or move at all. Any suggestions please? thanks guys

Check to see if all electrical connections are refastened correctly. Note there are two motors as depicted in these ads

In addition, check f29 (25A) at rear SAM located behind right side trunk panel.
