Leather steering wheel center and dash
Hey guys:
Shopping for an S550. 2008 on up. Which option is it that adds the stitched leather steering wheel center (as opposed to plastic/vinyl center) as well as the leather dashboard?

can someone take a picture of these supposed leather dashes?
I took a look at like 20 s550s on ebay of various years, and I only found one, a 2012, with a leather dash

I believe this would be true to form as pre-facelift designo 220s also did not have the full leather like my 05 does.
This is a BIG deal to me so I'm glad to see full leather in a 550.

I'm pretty sure that was not the case until the face lift because I've seen designo 07s and 08s that did not have the full leather package.
I believe this would be true to form as pre-facelift designo 220s also did not have the full leather like my 05 does.
This is a BIG deal to me so I'm glad to see full leather in a 550.

Yup, certain special order Designo interior S 550s (07-09) came with full leather a la the S 600 with special ribbing on seats and door panels. However, Launch or Saks Cure editions with Designo interiors did not have the full exclusive leather interiors. In the U.S. almost all S 550s had leather on only the seats and MB-tex on all other stitched areas (i.e., door and center armrests, lower center consoles, and dash cover over instruments). This was also true for CL 550s. The real tip off is if your interior had ribbed seats like the S or CL 600s.

lkirchner how where you able to post, i got the same reply that the pics where to big a bite to load, your wife's car is truly nice and clean interior, now that settles it.
