Tail "fog"lights
whats the deal with the rear tail fog light .. only one lights up? Curious... but seriously a bunch of engineers from The Technische Universität München (TUM) or where ever they come from couldnt get both to work ...

Only one side suppose to light up. Not sure how it should work on all benzes. But know for sure that W210 E-class, W220 S-class and W221 are like that

Only one intentionally lights up by design. It's like this on all cars.
I don't know if this is the actual reason but I heard only one side lights up because if both sides were lit it would detract from other drivers noticing the brake lights coming on as the rear fog is so bright. This would cause a higher risk of accidents because people can't see the brake lights light up as well.

now to figure out how to get the fog lights to work independently
