No keyless start on S600?

Went to look an 07 S600 today and it didnt have a button for keyless start. Just the keyhole to turn a key in. I thought all S600s had keyless go?

Also, maybe i missed something but i never heard any beeps from a radar sensor for parking. Camera worked but i didnt hear or see any proximity sensors.

The keyless go button is removable. Very possible it got lost/ stolen etc. You can buy the part for like $30-60 on eBay.

You can easily tell if the car has keyless go if it has the rectangle shaped indent on each door handle (exterior).

Rear parktronic sensor unit should be on the headliner above the rear headrests.

Ahh didnt realize it was removable. Its a 600 so it should be standard. It did hve the sensors on the doors. It should have front parking sensors as well shouldnt it?

It does have front and rear parking sensors. You just didn't see those because on the 2007 those are radar units behind the bumper cover.

got it... the button was in the ashtray... popped it in and it worked fine.

Regarding parking sensors... I did notice the bar and the IC display... seems like you have to get REAL close for them to start working... also... they didnt make a sound

The sensors work from some 100 yards or so, but the Parktronic feature only activates from a short distance (the user guide explains it accurately, about 1. 5 metres or so) and the warning sound only appears once you reach the "red zone" for one corner.

The collision warning comes from much longer distance and still works with the same short range radar sensors as the parktronic feature.

Perhaps your perception about "real close" is different from ours in Europe where we need to park into slots that can hardly fit the car.

Same here, I find it annoying that they start to beep when your about to hit something

That reminds me of this picture I snapped from my cafe seat nearby to the Vienna State Opera House.
There vehicles were 1 cm apart - that's real close for me!
I find parking much easier in my MLs than my S, parking sensors or not.
