It depends on what the problem is and what you want to do with it.

If it is CPO, it would be covered by Mercedes no matter which dealer repairs it.

That sucks..

Hope it is something simple and it will solve your issue once they find the source.
Let us know what it turns out to be for sure.
If it sounds like a BIG job then personally I would question about that car...and ask for another deal on another vehicle.
They should work with you on it...just raise hell with management if needed.

good luck

I think you are going to find no inherent reason for a refund of purchase price contained either in state law or the contract of sale you signed. While it is certainly understandable to be concerned to have the car you just purchased fail, the odds are great that it is a relatively simple cure that your warranty will pay for. Unless you find an undisclosed previous major condition, most likely the car will be quickly repaired and you will be on your way. They all eventually break and that is why the warranty is so important. Unfortunately, the timing in this case stinks!

first things first, settle down. Let them diagnose it first before you start worrying about returning it.

Lemon law doesn't work in this instance. The car is used.

Most buyers remorse periods are 3 days I believe.

No state has a three day right of rescission that is mandatory on a car sale, new or used. In California, if the vehicle sells for less than $40,000, you can purchase a two day right of rescission but must buy it at time of delivery.

There is a Federal law that covers door-to-door car sales for three days but few cars are ever sold door-to-door.

A typical used car purchase contract states that it is sold as is with no provision for a remorse. If it was indeed a severe pre-existing problem that the dealer was supposed to catch during the CPO inspection, you can probably make a case. However, I very much doubt that it's anything serious.

They are telling me it's a fuel pump issue as it wasnt building enough pressure? They sounded like it wasnt that big of a deal? They also said the MB Dealer that sold it to me - couldnt have seen this coming? please let me know your thoughts on this- As i have said - I bought the car on Monday and this happened on Friday- it's under Warranty so it's not costign me anything- just curious if this will be an ongoing problem and if the MB Dealer should have seen this coming?

Come on now, how would they see it coming? This is what warranties are for.

I bought an Escalade ESV 4 years ago. I tried to program the garage opener that night (wasn't easy task, due to rolling code) and the phone. Yep, listen to radio during the time I was working on the car programing.

Next day: it's dead. No response, nothing !!. And since I parked so close to the wall (big car) both front and side of the car, it was almost impossible to approach & access the engine bay to work on it.

Cadillac sent in a person. At first we tried to jump the battery cable. Didn't work either. I was worry & frustrated a bit. 1 day car that dead. The though of pushing (or pulling) the car out of the garage manually to get it onto the flatbed was very discouraging.

But then we troubleshoot further and found that the battery (POS Delco) was simply dead, so recharge wouldnt work. Dealer offer to tow the car to dealer for further analysis & repair. But I simply bought an Optima Red battery and everything back to working.

Since then, I hardly have any problem with the truck in the last 4 years.

I made the mistake of buying my 2008 S550 without any warranty. About $6500 in repairs over the first year of ownership later, I bought a $3700 warranty

Whether you want to believe it or not, the bottom line is you got a used car. Unfortunately you never know what it been through before you took ownership even if CarFox doesn't say there are issues.
Just because the vehicle is $100K new, it is still a man made object and they do not last for ever no matter how much you pay for it.
If you want a car not to brake, get something that has an engine and wheels and youll have less issues. the more the car offers, the more items there are to brake.
Its always the folks that have issues that scream the loudest. All i heard was negative feedback about W220 and W221 when i was shopping, until i realized the people screaming are the people would have been perfectly happy with a Civic as long as it does not brake and because they do not understand what this type of a car has to offer beyond getting them from point a to point b. if you want everything this car offers you have to be able to handle the downside to owning it.
I had my S500 until it hit 92K miles and the car had ZERO issues when i traded it in. My S550 now has 65K on it and the only issue the car had was a fuel pump which took a month to find the issue and fix first time and two weeks less than a month after they supposedly fixed it the first time. to me thats a small price to pay compared to how much i enjoy driving this car.
Owning a benz, bmw, bentley or what have you without a warranty is simply unwise.
These cars are a little bit more complicated than a Chevy Nova and do take longer and more expensive to repair. It comes with the territory.
