Hi so my rear on my w221 sits a tad lower than the front so I was thinking either mispositioned link or bad sensor. I took the rear sensor off to adjust and replaced it now I have a message vehicle rising please wait when I start the car but the compressor isn't coming on! Any ideas to why my car wont rise? Its sitting on all four on the complete ground

Its the fuse and or the pump ??Check the wiring-harness going to the pump under the right front wheel well before to replace anything, this could be oxidised and causing the issue. I have read several occassions on this forum ,that could be it..
Also the pump is a relatively normal 'wear and tear replacement' on these cars.. So would not be surprised if its gone..

So after checking this old thread https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...-location.html I found that the 40 amp fuse for the pump wasn't blown BUT just isn't getting any power to it. I think this is why im having this problem. No power to the fuse equals no power to the pump. Any electric people around so I can trace down the problem!?

Quote: What is an upside down sensor?
It detects if the car is upside down and tells the driver if she does not notice it.

I believe the OP means the level sensor was removed and then installed incorrectly, upside down, which made Airmatic misbehave.

Thank you Diesel for the clarification, that was funny. That is what I thought, but was not sure. There are so much about W221 I am still trying to learn.

now i'm getting the same message every time i switch on my car as the rare of my car sleep down, but as soon as i switched it on it starts raising. So, I asked a guy who works with MB about that then he replied to me that you need to change them while another one said to me not it only needs a programming ? what do you think of that !!
