my S55O Wont Start! Help!

Guys

i have an 07 s550, my problems begun about a month ago. I drove it to airport, turned the car off, stepped out for 5mins, came back to turn it on, it wont start.so I ended up towing it to a repair shop. The started battery was replaced with a new one and everything seemed to be back to normal. However, i drove it for a couple of hours today, made a quick stop at the gas station, and i wont start back up. I dont know whats wrong. the interior lights and all electronics are working well. It just wont start. i replaced the starter battery a month ago. What do you guys suggest? could it be the second battery in the trunk? thanks

Startermotor and/or starter-solenoid dodgy ?

You could measure if power getting up to startermotor; if it does then ,that's the culprit.

Don't think its the acc. battery though..

a little more info would be useful. Does it crank at all? If it cranks, is it a strong crank all the way? any unusual sounds?

Same Issue ..2008 S-550 Will not Crank .Lights work but no Crank

Good day All :

Can some one please assist me ?

I have a 2008 S-550 ..Few days ago I was driving ..Stooped for a coffee
Then I try to start the car and it will not Crank !!! all the lights are on .

I tested the front Battery and the back and they show Strong Voltage !!
I Tap'd on the Starter and try to start but no luck !

Mercedes Dealer did scan and it show'd nothing wrong !!
I am Scared if it the Engine seized ... that's a lot of Money but if it did .. it should Crank !!

Also ...Could it be a fuel Issue ??

If we change the Starter and it is still not cranking , what shall I do ?

Thx

I am having the exact same problem with my 2011 s550. Car runs perfectly fine and then randomly won't start. I'll wait a few minutes and it cranks and runs just fine. It's been to the dealership 5 times and they cannot replicate the problem. Any advice would be great! I am contemplating just getting rid of the car as a last resort

No crank no start

I'm new here and want to help im no expert but I have had every problem you can think of with my s 600. (I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!) Check the crank shaft position sensor. It 's behind the engine in between the fire wall and engine. Hard to reach but simple to do.
With a bad crank shaft position sensor it will work while cold and so you can start and drive just fine just as long as you don't shut the engine off. If you do you'll have to wait until it cools. Then it will start.

Yes your right in most cases but in the case of my s600 I would turn the key (nothing) then again nothing then after about a half hour of letting the car sit it would crank and start right away. Sometimes it would crank no start sometime no crank no start.
