driver side door no longer suck?

For awhile now, my driver door no luck suck itself in when closing. Along with it, the car no longer recognize it everytime I open and close the driver side door. Hence, courtesy light no longer come on and my keyless go doesn't completely shut down the car.

I've been using the key to start/stop the engine.

Does anyone know what could be the problem? Is it a sensor or is it my latching mechanism that's dead?

Have you checked battery voltage on the batteries in the keys already ;

or have you used the spare with new batteries, just to rule out the obbvious ?

Remote battery is new.

The closing assist does not need to have the keys to work.

Try resetting the system by taking out the fuses and wait for at least 30-45 seconds before reinstalling, usually that will help.

You brought up a very good point. I just went out and tried this, left the fuse off for 5 minutes just to be sure but no go.

Leads me to wondering, if it's my latching system is whack or my control unit. I think the control unit would be a cheaper fix than the whole latch system as long as it doesn't require any programming.

My door stop sucking closed about 2 weeks back, I believe I have to bring it in for a costly issue. That's based on all my research.

Beside the stop closing, does the red light on the door light up? (Mine doesn't)

On top of that, when opening and closing the door, it makes the lock/unlock chirping sound. Sounds like a sensor or the control unit is going crazy.

BTW: please let me know what your problem turns out to be.

I had a similar problem with my 06 S500 which ended up just needing a simple reset. I disconnected all the batteries and waited 20 minutes before reconnection. That solved the issue for me. It may also be a leak between the pump and the door. That will be a litle more involving to fix.

highly doubt it's a leak because it's effecting my keyless go other sensors on that door, like the chirping sound when opening and closing the door and the courtesy lights doesn't come on. The system doesn't know when that door is open or closed.
