in the final stage of facelift...few questions i need answers to please
should be finishing the facelift by Tuesday. I have a few questions since I have had no luck with the search function. all help and advice appreciated.
For the drl connection,i will be tapping into the sidemarkers. In dat case, is it ok to simply remove the bulbs from the foglights since i wont be using them (facelift bumpers have no foglight) or will that throw a code. if that the case, where did u guys tie them to?
Thanks

I went through the same scenario early this year with my '08 facelift. You can't remove the bulbs. It'll show an error message if you switch on the fogs. The message won't go away even if you turn it back off. Just leave them as is and tie down the harness. Just be aware though, some owners have had issues with tapping the DRLs onto the sidemarker lamps. I personally did the resistor approach. So far, so good.

Resistors available on eBay 50Watts, 6 Ohms. Choose the best quality or if you can find Japanese made ones, much better. Make sure you bolt/ screw on these onto the metal frame of your front bumper to distribute the resistor heat. Check out eBay:

okay guys,couple more questions please.
Does anyone know if the 010 s63 front grill will fit the 010 s550 with amg kit? I bought the s63 grill prior to deciding that i wanted the 010 s550 amg kit look instead.
Also, does anyone know if the lower honeycomb mesh grill on my 07 s550 with amg kit will fit the 010 s550 front bumper with amg kit. Or should I expect to buy a new lower honeycomb mesh for the 010 s550 amg kit front bumper.
Thanks
