08 W221 S550 no start
previous battery was charged with charger would not hold charge, car would not crank. Now, Fuse 9( ignition (20A)) in the fuse block next to battery keeps blowing. Engine does not crank, interior car has power.
Can some one please assist me ?
I have a 2008 S-550 ..Few days ago I was driving ..Stooped for a coffee
Then I try to start the car and it will not Crank !!! all the lights are on .
I tested the front Battery and the back and they show Strong Voltage !!
I Tap'd on the Starter and try to start but no luck !
Mercedes Dealer did scan and it show'd nothing wrong !!
I am Scared if it the Engine seized
... that's a lot of Money but if it did .. it should Crank !! Also ...Could it be a fuel Issue ??
If we change the Starter and it is still not cranking , what shall I do ?
Thx

Tap starter with rubber mallet. See if it cranks.

Figure out why that fuse keeps blowing (don't jump it, it likely has a real problem and you don't want to kill the front SAM) and you'll likely get the car started.
I've checked everything 1) battery, 2) fuses, 3) relays and they all check out.
The motor does not crank, no clicks, nothing. But all lights light up.
Looks like it is the starter. Hope its not anything more complicated like the fuel pump.

BTW, I did manage to tap the starter a few times. After I did that, the car started to make a single click when I twisted the key. But still won't start. Sounding more and more like a bad starter.

I have a 2011 w221 S550 - non 4matic or amg upgrade. My problem started at the detail shop. Someone left the doors open and moved seats, opened and closed windows etc... and left the key on for about 5 hours. In short the battery was ran down when I went and tried start it. I push the keyless button and engine tried to start but not enough life in battery. Two attempts and third was nothing. First they tried a battery charger then jump start!! Yes a jump start. Still nothing. Everything has power, seats, windows, tilt steering, dash, a/c fan, etc... just not starting. AAA came to jump start still nothing and battery checked out good. I had it towed to my house and parked in driveway under a tree. I disconnected battery and I hooked up my battery charger, set it to AGM, trickle charge. Two days pass on charger and still no start. No changes to power. During this time I check out all the fuses and relays in the N10/1 Front SAM control unit and watched several youtube videos trying to discover some small detail that will solve my problem. No magic there So now I see a reference to a F32/3 Prefuse Box near the battery left by "konigstiger" and it it looks similar to what I have in my car but different. I see in the fuse chart there is a F3211 Starter and F3212 Alternator fuse. I would like to know if this Prefuse box is on my 2011 w221 S550 and if it is the same diagram and schematic. And if so, is the alternator fuse or the starter fuse a part of my car and where is it on my car? I have attached a picture of my battery and most of the engine bay as a reference to locate it.
One more thing, when the dash lights are on, and there are a bunch of em, there are no errors or warnings. I have tried with and without keyless button and two different keys with good batteries.
Recently I had another no start issue like this, all power just not engaging the starter on my wife's Lexus and it turned out to be the 120 amp (bolted in) Alternator fuse!
