Video In Motion

Looking at In-Motion applications. Research says Mid City Engineering is the best overall install. If so which model are people using? There are four versions:
1) VIM221... Video In Motion Interface

2) VIM221P....Video in Motion with Programme

3) VIM221R....Video in Motion with on-demand control of reverse camera.

4) VIM221K...Video in Motion with Backup Camera

My guess is that it would depend on how your vehicle is equipped. If your vehicle is equipped with a back up camera, then #3 would be a good choice. If equipped with the rear entertainment package, then #2........and so on and so on..............

Ok, maybe better questions are:

Are you pleased with this product?

Worth the cost?

WHERE IS JASON B!!!! LOL

I have an 08. It did not come with a backup camera. I ordered a module through Jason Burtman that Mid City custom made by order to control rear camera, video bypass, AND front camera. I also had a slight hiccup with the installation of the module at the shop that installed mine and a direct to Noah at Mid City and they were there to troubleshoot directly with the shop and had a permanent solution and me back up and running in no time.

Go with the mid city module. Use Jason and he will get you what you need, I would just negotiate a little more on that 3rd party, middle man, manufacturer to dealer taxation. I didn't but realized I should of after the fact.

I'm still ticking

Yes, the midcity is the best one in my opinion, because you can add a front camera like I did that comes on automatically below 3 mph and is awesome, and also because the manufacturer stands behind their products 100% and they are made in the USA which means easy tweaks if needed.

Shoot me a text if you need more info. I still need to get my front camera write-up online.

I went with an option from ebay for about $120. It came from Russia and was easy to install. Much smaller than the box style units and it works perfectly nearly 2 years since install.

Pic attached.

I purchased mine from Vladimir. I don't see it listed in his current ebay offerings so I would just contact him and request what you need. He was responsive to my questions.
