Opinions: Lightly tinted headlights?
Truthfully, I never thought I was going to do this but lately I've been seeing more and more pics with lightly smoked headlights. Preferably, I would rather have the inside painted. However, with all the risk and work required to do so, it's pretty much out of the question. Now leads me to lightly tinting the headlights. I use the word lightly because I don't want to to be too dark and just enough to not look chrome while it not affecting the headlight output drastically.
I currently have a white s550 with pano. So, I already have the black roof and I'm thinking about getting my side mirrors painted black to fit the theme I'm going for. With that all in mind, would you go with tinting the headlights?
This is what inspired my recent fasination with this.
Also, while we are at it, I currently have a rear trunk spoiler. It's painted white but do you think it might be too much to have that spoiler in carbon? Opinions are greatly appreciate and welcome!

I'm not a fan either. From experience I can tell you that no matter how good the tint job is it will discolor over time from UV light and washing. Add to that it's got to be illegal in just about every state in the US and I vote no. I'm curious what other folks on here think...

In my opinion our cars are very elegant and at the same time they look sporty however, finding a happy medium is a challenge, sometimes a little too much will take away from the elegance of the car, I feel that's what smoked headlights/tail lights could do.
Regarding the spoiler, I think that white follows the flow of the color much nicer.
