W221's Spotted...
We should have a spotted thread. I see quite a few W221s all the time. This was this morning...had Missouri tags. Never know, we could spot someone that could be a member on here that we see and don't even know it.

LOL!!!! It's not like these are Aston Martins, Lambos, Bugatti's, or the like.
I wonder if the guys in the F-150 or Chevy trucks forums have a thread like this?

Nope, these are better! To me, I love my 600 because people are always AMAZED that it has a twin turbo v12, when you see a lambo, ferrari, etc, they already know what to expect under the hood. The 600 is a surprise to many people because they don't know about it and you don't see them very often.

You took a picture of an S550. Not even close to being a rare car. If I had an Aston Martin or Bugatti and saw another one on the road, I'd be more excited than seeing some S-class, even it were a S-600 or AMG.

I had a guy in a C300 pull up next to me a few days ago and ask about my car...I guess a lot of benz owners are more snobby than others lol.

I get your point. It's not the car but could be a fellow MB World member that is always chiming in on this forum. I'm also on the Benzworld forum with my W126 and I was invited to a Benz meet where I met about 35 other Benzworld members. This meet occurs every year in late August and the organizer celebrates his birthday while hosting the gathering. Would be cool if the forum had some kind of badge that could be placed on the rear license plate or another place on the car to show your membership. Of course, done with class!

And that's exactly what happened to me. I needed my Guide Rod Bushings and Idler arms replaced. The fellow Benzworld member had a garage and air tools and offered to help me do the repair work. Turned out that he did all the repair work and didn't even want me to pay him. I was like no way pal, I got to do something for you. So we decided on me getting him some tools he needed in his garage. We stay in touch and even got our wives together for dinner a few times.

You can, for the most part, tell cars with mods...wheels, etc so that person is more inclined to be an enthusiast, interested in, or on this forum

I like this thread. It's cool to just see our cars in their daily grind and yes the Ford F series forums do have such a thread. Ford Truck Enthusiasts is the best F Series forum. Very active.

Well I live up in Maine and I have only seen two S65 AMG's in person prior to buying my own site unseen from California.
The first was a 2006 driving on the highway with New Hampshire plates about 7/8 years ago. The second was when I was walking in Boston and I walked by one parked at a hotel valet about 4 years ago.
I still get excited when the engine starts. I love it. I have even told my wife that it is my "metal baby". Yea she thinks I am crazy. I am cool with that.

W221 by me are as common as a Honda...
Most owners here are over 65
Now I'm seeing more W222 than probably W221
And I would guess the majority of W221 owners do not even belong to a forum

Your not kidding, my 66 year old Dad still calls me everytime he hits the mute button on accident for his TV. If he joined a forum, I would never get any sleep...

Since there's a zillion of those things on the road (#1 selling vehicle of all time), I would imagine it's probably the largest forum on the entire internet...thus the most active.

I guess, I am into the older F250's personally 97's in particular. Best bang for the buck as far as plow trucks go and could be had for just a few grand. Hard to beat...
