Best/Rcommended Tire Brand

PS...see my comment in the other thread about your 600. I was just busting your chops in response to your BS about, well, a zillion things you and Mike posted. You guys must be seriously sheetfaced to post some of that other stuff you all posted (which I only skimmed)...but jeezus fellas, WTF?!? (tattoos, rubbers, etc...what's next, more comments about 12 yr old kids?!?)
Normally I'm a vodka guy (Grey Goose being my poison of choice), but for some reason I developed a hankering for JB after seeing Mila Kunis stacking those wooden barrels.
I played golf yesterday with my boss. Unfortunately my game has slipped over the years and I rarely shoot scores in the 70's any more. A new knee and hip (remnants of my college football days) and a diet might help that. But who's got the time?
I was convinced that you were some 12 year old troll by the nature of your behavior and responses. Those were the kinds of smart assed nonsensical replies I'd expect from one of my younger kids.
You really should update your status. As it appears from your comments that you don't really drive a "...."
Come on dude, you did call my car a 10 year old rust bucket. BTW....it's not 10 years old yet.
Yeah, whatever, still 10 years old. What did you pay?
It's absolutely none of your business what I paid. But I will say that I paid the correct price for the nicest '07 S600 in the USA at the time.
Absolutely NFW your car is in better condition....LOL.
I'd be willing to take the Pepsi challenge with you on that one. My car is a San Diego car that spent it's entire life in the garage and never once saw rain or snow until I purchased it last Nov. Not a scratch on it and in absolutely perfect condition inside and out. The leather still smells brand new (the entire interior is wrapped in it). It was one of those cars that you look at and say "how in the f--- is that car 8 years old?"
Awesome. So you're exactly the same as the next douchebag who bought an extended warranty.
OH BOY! Have you ever got a lot to learn. This place is going to become your best friend. You're going to find out that owning one of these cars without a warranty is completely foolish and insane...especially for a guy who feels the need to skimp on tires. Your bank account will take some major hits. These cars aren't Lexus'.
I'm not going to post any more pics of my car. They're out there if you're really interested in seeing it.
So yeah, we're a classy bunch.
And in all cases....mom's are completely off limits. I have zero tolerance for that.
My car is in better shape. I guarantee you the PO of your car wasn't even remotely as OCD about cleanliness as the PO of my car. My car is cleaner than when it came off the showroom floor and has 70% fewer miles yours.

You need to take a reading comprehension class. I never said buying an extended warranty is a bad thing, in fact I intend to get one. What I did say is you bragging about yours is stupid, its not a differentiating factor -- anybody can get one. BTW, I still have 14 months on the factory warranty. That said, who is the best source for MB ELW's right now? Is that the best option? Mike thinks your warranty company is going to go belly up.

I'm interested, but not that interested. Didn't realize those pics of mine were so low res, I'll post some better ones later.
It's been entertaining for the last few days, but I'm throwing up the white flag because I'm getting tired of it.
But she was one of the best looking.

GO METS!!!
I'm surprised by the demeanor in this thread, I would have expected W221 forum members to be a little more.......well composed.

Or better yet, those AMG boards. Many of them seem like Napoleon complexed dudes, often lawyers who think that driving around an AMG will help their genitalia suddenly get larger. Lots of strange off topic discussions over there about ***** pumps, herbal supplements, and Viagra.
Also, the AMG S63 conversion on my S550 is almost complete.
Page thru those pics to the shot of the spare to see the tires it's supposed to have.
"That explains why it needed new tires with 15k miles on the clock."
Huh?
Actually I was thinking about the Cooper argument earlier today. Why is it I wouldn't put them on the S? If they perform well and cost less, what is my objection? I was trying to find an analogy.
Earlier in the thread someone mentioned Jim Beam and it was agreed it was a fine bourbon whiskey.
Let's say for illustration I suggest that Costco Brand Bourbon Whiskey is just as good and much less expensive. Someone says Costco Brand Bourbon Whiskey is crap and they'd never drink it.
I say, "In blind taste tests a lot of people preferred the taste of Costco a Brand to Jim Beam." And "Costco brand liquor have win numerous awards."
Can you make the argument that you'd never drink Costco well booze because you simply prefer Jim Beam? Yes, of course, but there's no way to do it without sounding like a close minded snob. If it tastes as good, what difference does it make what label is on the bottle? But it does.
There are times in your life when you want to enjoy fine things. Good bourbon is a fine thing. An S Class is a fine thing. I don't necessarily want the best value in a tire on my S Class. It may be snobbish and even a little irrational, but it's a perfectly legitimate position.
Conversely, the argument that refusing to even taste Costco bourbon is narrow minded and foolish also has merit.
There is no "wrong" answer. It's one of those owner discretion things.

Some might argue that "irrational" and "legitimate" are mutually exclusive in a scenario like
this but I understand where you are coming from......and, it's a wholly different position than "all Cooper tires suck".
"I was making a joke about Coopers wearing out prematurely."
I had that figured but also figured (based on your comment about the spare) you assumed the Cooper's were not O.E. -- did you get a look at the spare?

And yeah, Dave can be really short with new guys. I'd give him crap about it but exactly a year ago, Dave joined the forum and one of his first posts was to recommend the 3rd party aftermarket warranty that he got on his twin turbo V12 for not a lot of money. Ironically he made the same arguments about the merits of his company that you made about the tires.
I jumped all over him, much in the way he jumped all over you. When you've been on the forum a long time, you get protective of the kind of information the forum gives to new guys seeking opinions. When someone who just signed up a week ago is suddenly giving advice, it's normal to have that "who the F are YOU?" reaction.
Watch... A year from now you'll burn a newb without batting an eye. Human nature, man.
Oh, and I was wrong about the warranty. They've treated him really well.
