Yeah, I agree the car is now outwardly indistinguishable from any other decently cared for 08 in that mileage range. Ya got yourself an S Class! Welcome to the forum! Has to be the most f'd up, convoluted path to S Class ownership in the history of MBWorld, but you made it.

1. I bought an OEM replacement driver for speaker because it was blown. Driving with a rattling speaker ruins the driving experience.2. An orange front passenger side marker cover as mine is cracked.
3. Tint felt, so my front windows don't scratch. My felt is beginning to wear out on the front windows.
4. A 4Matic OEM emblem for the trunk I purchased recently.
Those are the last bits to make it be complete. After that it's registration and refrigerator install!
I took insurence coverage of the 'Cedes last week as I'm not currently driving it.

Here is the old side marker.
The wife and I drove the Acura TL to Seattle last weekend and wondered if we will get the 38 MPG we got on the way there last time. I drove alot in Seattle and still ended up with 33mpg. Thats on a 3.2L V6!

wow.... wow.... I was sitting at my daughters practice and saw this tread, I literally laughed out loud at some of posts cracking up, the rest of the time smiling looking at my phone while parents looked at me crazy... and MercedesbenzS55 took it like G. Props for keeping it going after all. I guess as long as your happy who cares. Not that I would have ever attempted it or let it go through my mind for a second to this project. But again, you are in an S Class and no one is looking at your title...

Interestingly, the car would be worth no more than $17k for a private sale with a clean title and accident free. Yours is worth about 60% of that. GLWS!
