Smile What a difference!!! Welcome S550
So - Finally the clouds cleared up after the thunder-rain and I was able to take a clean picture. Here is a pic of the S550.

Thanks for all that followed my S400 Hybrid horror story. First Hybrid system died then the engine at 80K Miles!!! I traded it in for:

2013 S550 (50K Miles)
P2 Package
AMG Sport Plus One Package (20" AMG Wheels/Pedals/bumper covers/logo on trunk)
Obsidian Black with Brown/beige Interior

For anyone interested, it was $44K plus taxes ($47K out-the-door).

2014's here in Houston are still in high 70's to Low 80K range so outa my 60K budget.

Nice upgrade from what you had. Now you just need to remove that poser badge off the back and post up some nice interior photos.

Hmmmm - Lets just say they gave me 18 for it. I had spent 11K on battery and engine rebuild...... so I don't even wanna go there.

Sad part is - next Morning the S400 was sold,

for parts and the dealer prolly broke even.

the money you spent into that alien object were a sunk cost and it is very unlikely anybody turned profit on your dime. make no mistake. hope that professional observation makes you feel better

Very nice - congrats. You do need to loose that AMG emblem. I hate it when people put them on a NON - AMG.

Nice ride (looks just like mine!)

I have a love/hate relationship with those wheels. I've replaced two already. They just do not handle potholes of any variety.

I think the AMG sport package ones without 4-Matic come with that stock. Mine says 4-Matic there.

They do not. W220's were the last AMG bodied S500's that had the badge. If you ever see an AMG badge on an S550, it was added by the car's owner.

Are you sure? I haven't seen an S550 with an AMG kit that didn't have the AMG badge on Copart.

Is there some literature about this quagmire?

On W221's, AMG badges only come on actual AMG cars.....S63 and S65. Nothing else. At least that's how all US cars are. Not sure about Euro models. If you see them on S550's or S600's, those are posers.
