2007 S550 Cant find Key!
Hey guys,

This might seem like a silly question. I lost my smart key. ive been looking for it since yesterday. The car has the keyless start "push to start button." im trying to figure out if the smart key is somwhere in the car, or if i misplaced it somewhere else. When i open the car door, i get the "dont forget to take your key" message on the dash. Also, i can lock/unlock the doors with the automatic door lock button. Does this mean the key is somewhere in the car?

If the car starts the key is in the car.

You'll get the "Don't forget your key" message whether your key is in the car or not. You can also lock your doors while sitting in the car without your key. Mike is correct about trying to start the car. That would confirm if the key is in your car or not.

im getting the "no key" signal when I try to start it. However I have a spare key, but it's not working. I removed the push button and tried to start the car manually but it's not turning. Is there a way I can maybe reprogram the spare key and get it to work? Thanks

Change the fob battery in the spare key and try again.

After you replaced the battery in the spare key did it unlock/lock the doors?
