Front brake question
I am looking to order a set of new front brake rotors and pads for my 2010' S550 with amg sports package.
My question is can I order any front brake kit for a 10 S550. Some website asks spprts package or non sports package. Is there any difference between the two?
Also who have some of you guys ordered from? The dealer wanted to charge 700 bucks for new rotors and pads and sensor. Was seeing what other option I have.
Thanks guys.

I ordered the Akebono Pads, sensor, HW Kit and Centric slotted rotor from Rock Auto for an out the door price of 279 bucks. Did it myself, it was a breeze. Get the HW kit, it includes new pins, clips and all the other bits that usually break or bend during disassembly. 4 months later and no brake dust and the brakes work great. Spent another 9 bucks on DOT4 fluid and did the flush at the same time. Mine is a 12 but I think they are the same.

Do you know what the difference between front rotors sports package vs non sports package vs 4matic? I thought all the brake rotors and pads would be the same for the w221 except the S65 and s63? Maybe the difference is the rotors in drilled or not?

Manufacturers and distributors catalogues often have fundamental errors in parts like brakes. There is often conflicting information, and it can difficult to know what to trust, even when you drill down to what you think is good source data.
The best way to be sure is to measure the diameter, thickness and height of your own rotors themselves.

If you have wis it would be the best source to obtain vin- dependent part numbers sight unseen.

I would assume that the amg sports package brakes would be different than non-sports package due to cross drilled rotors, etc. I dont think there is any difference beteween 4matic and non-4matic amg sports package other than the staggered set up on the the non-4matic but brakes & rotors should all be the same.
