That's true. We suck and have never been helpful in any capacity in the least. I'm sure he'll enjoy many years of worry and repair free driving in his S63. I've heard those cars are good up to 300k or more miles with only basic maintenance like brakes, battery and oil changes. Even cheaper than a Honda to maintain. He's all good to go without any help from a couple of shmucks.

CarChex said no!
The rear diff went bad on my 13 S63 with 32k miles... The diff was gonna be like $6500 for part and labor I was told. Very happy it's CPO'd and covered.
Last month, my soft close door went bad. 2 months before that, 2 TMPS sensors went bad... And I had 1 more issue I can't recall. Had the car since this pervious April, so, not even a year.
If you do wanna look at a warranty, call CarChex. They warrantied my 09 CLS63 I had before this S and they were amazing.

It's near impossible to get anyone to sell a warranty after the car has been purchased. Also I received your PM and sadly, no, I do not have any "candid" pictures of Dave showering, and honestly I find the request a little off-putting.

Too bad he can't see my posts and notice that reasonably priced coverage is available. And you must be forgetting that I sent you those pics a couple of years ago. Perhaps they are saved on your old phone?

Hmmmm, maybe cuz it's a S63? Thy warrantied my 09 CLS63 for $181/month for 24 months (plus a $200 rebate) for a 3 year, 36k mile bumper to bumper warranty. The car was 4 yrs old and had 59k miles when I purchased it. They paid about $6.5k worth of repairs while I had it. My SA said it was the best aftermarket warranty he's ever seen.

Like others have said, that car will bury you in costs without a warranty. Especially at that mileage. Indy or not, MB is very proud of the parts on this car. Find and get a warranty.

I've got a potentially great warranty source for him who covers AMGs at a great price, but apparently I'm on his "ignore list". One time a while back he had asked me if I like Barry White and offered me some sort of rusty brass horn (I don't remember which instrument it was, but I certainly knew that I didn't understand the connection between Barry White and an old rusty instrument). I told him I only like shiny instruments and then he immediately put me on his ignore list. I never even got the chance to tell him that I played the Saxophone when I was in school.

I've tried to get Carchex warranty on my 08 S550 with 28000 miles back in Oct, but was told that they stopped offering warranty for S Class in California a few months ago. I was with impression that they still offer the warranty in some other states. I'm taking my chance that the repair cost will not go over $4000 for next three years and replace the car. However, If I can find reliable warranty, I'll probably get it and keep the car for a little longer.

Yep....3rd & 4th grade. I think my folks still have the sax in storage in their basement. But I bet it's a little rusty since that was over 40 years ago. Perhaps that would give compaddict some motivation to be my friend since he likes playing with old rusty brass horns?

if it includes all electrical components, abc pump, hoses and valveblocks as well as anything bathed in oil - 4500 is not a bad offer.

That's a pretty tame exclusionary list; my Assurant excluded list has more loopholes than that and mine's proven to be a great warranty.
So, from what you've sent, that's really good coverage.
But, do you have the rest of the contract? Is what you provided from the contract or a brochure or internet synopsis or bullet point list? You want to see the actual contract and give that a good read.
Also, any insight into how they are to deal with, how quickly they pay; SA perceptions; online reviews?
Not trying to undermine what seems a very solid warranty at a fair price, just covering all bases. If it all checks out, I'd 110% go with it.

it doesnt cover shocks and hoses (specifically mentioned) and acumulators (wear item)... thus the only thing covered is the cheapest part- the tandem pump in particular there is one hose that when it goes (and it often does) it requires big and major pieces of the car to be moved or removed altogether

I'd argue that the excluded "hoses" are those that are "normal maintenance services and parts" since "hoses" is in that sentence as "including". Unless the ABC hoses are "normal maintenance" they should be included in coverage
Similarly, I don't see any exclusion for "wear items", so insofar as the argument is that the accumulator is a "wear item" and thus excluded, it's not there.
This is where the warranty company reputation comes in - are they trying to exclude every "hose" that is in the car, or just those that would fall under the heading of a "normal maintenance service and part" (i.e., those related to the maintenance service)?
I could see a bad actor taking the first position; a good actor taking the second.
Any forum or online reviews of this company?
