Comand system has no BT?

Hey guys,

a friend just bought a 2007 S500 (w221).

I've tried helping my friend looking after the BT option through navigation in the com and system but didn't find any matching tab (only audio, navigation etc', nothing related to telephone communication.

I've checked his VIN number and according to it he got the comand 527 installed (there's no telephone key pad).

is there something we're missing or it really doesn't have a BT connection.

in case there should be a BT connection I would appreciate to get some info on how to locate/activate it.

many thanks!

You have to buy a bluetooth puck in order to have bluetooth connectivity.

thank you for your reply.
as a MB owner myself I'm familiar with those adapters, hence first thing I did was to open the arm rest compartment to look for a cradle or any puck (such like Vissio etc') but didn't find any).

previous owner of the car claims he did install "something" that allowed him BT connectivity but using our mobile phones to search for BT device doesn't bring anything.

other than the arm rest, any other place where I should look for installed puck?

any other idea will be great.

(unfortunately the previous owner of the car had a relocation so can't use him).

thanks.

Yes, it's absolutely ridiculous that this car has no Bluetooth for audio, even on the 2013 model. This has to be the only upscale vehicle that has this problem for up to 2013. The only Bluetooth is for the cell phone

you might have to remove the center console and see if car is wired for bluetooth puck. most are. some are not. if it is the connector might be tucked in there. if it isnt you can acquire the harness and install it or have it installed (not very diy - friendly procedure).
