Help me please!! W221 Seats won't deflate entierly
Hello guys,
I am a new member om the site.
I'm coming from switzerland and bought an S450 4matic Long last week. I think it's an engin that doesn't exist in USA.
I'will make an complete presentation of the car next days. Promise!
I just have one probleme and one question. I have the multicontour dynamic seats. The probleme is: I can inflate my driver seat and deflate it. But the central part of the seat (top and bottom) doesn't want to deflate completely. And my left side dynamic doesn't work.
Does anyone has a solution to fix it?
Thank you for answer.

Did you ensure the center bladders are set to 0? I know they are separate settings. As to the left side dynamic not working, it's most likely a ruptured air bladder. I fixed mine myself by taking the back of the seat off (2 screws on the bottom), unhooking the leather so I could peel it forward to expose the bladder. Once I got the bladder exposed, I unhooked the bladder that was split at the seam, laid it flat on a ceramic tile, covered with wax paper, and used an iron to create a new seam. The wax paper ensured I didn't melt the air bladder to the iron. Test to ensure it's holding air before putting everything back in reverse order. The alternative is to bring it to the dealer to replace the seat, which would be very costly. This fix worked for me, and took all of ~20 min to complete. Hope this helps!

Yes for the left dynamic, I'll try to do that.
All settings are on 0, the lumbar and the shoulder bladder. The massage and dynamic options are working very good too. But they don't want to deflate entierly. I tried not to use the car for 3-4 days to see if it will deflate, but nothing happened.
Thank you for help!

Have someone pull fault codes using MB diagnostics. As a matter of reference (may not be directly related to your problems) attached bulletin explains multiple problems can be resolved by reviewing stored fault codes.

Can you tell me one thing? How do you, as you put it, "Did you ensure the center bladders are set to 0?? How does one do that and why is that important. I am new to MB and have a lot too learn. thanks in. advance for any aid you might provide.

I can't remember how to set it as I no longer own that vehicle, but I do remember two different settings for top section and lower lumbar section. Nothing important about it except the OP mentioned seats will not deflate entirely.

My 2007 S65 drivers seat does the same thing every few months and has for a few years now.
What I do is actually go into the seat and mess with the bladder levels. I fully inflate them and then deflate them and usually
it goes back to normal. Sometimes it takes a couple tries but so far it has worked for me. No big deal in my eyes.
Good luck
