My pump is shot, and I have just gotten the Renntech tune. My car wont run right because its pulling timing when I try to get into boost due to the pump not running... I want to replace it but cant understand why a pump is $1500 bucks? Anyone know of a replacement that flows like renntechs?

I know little about this but I wanted top tell you that I understand your pain. That is a LOT of money. I can't help imagine that there are alternatives that can save you at least 1/3rd. Good luck on this my friend.

I am going to reach out to speed driven about what they have. 1500 for just a pump is ridiculous.

Probably because it says "RennTech" on it. They get something like $5,000 for a carbon fiber engine cover!

VRP stage 3 aux pump

this pump goes 13 gpm compare to 8.3 gpm form the Renntech pump.

Save $1000 from the lack of a billet branding plate.

Is that a plug and play swap? Worth getting for my mildly tuned S600?

doubt it but it comes with its own bracket should be able to mount it in the same place. or get a stock pump... Looks like VRP use stock bosch pump up to stage 2. They split up coolant from the engine with a small reservoir.

Maybe I'm missing it, but where do you see this? is stage 2 just running more power through it or something? thanks

VRP cooling page for AMG 55 engine

stage 1 is split cooling
stage 2 has new heat exchanger
stage 3 has 2 heat exchanger

BTW This stuff is for the E55 S55 or CLS55. but water is water. Pump will work the same way. Pushing water faster thru the heat exchanger is not always better. The heat exchanger itself is the item that does the most cooling.

Does anyone thinkg that just putting in the newer Bosch 010 pump will suffice for a Renntech tuned car? Or should I go with one that flows more on the stock heat exchanger? I do like the site you shared here. Good options for way better prices than Renntech
