Newbie 2010 S550 Headlight Assy Ques...
My right driver side LED Xenon, AFS w/ Night Vision Headlight assy. Below the headlights, I have an LED Strip, random pattern, but 1/2 of my LEDs went out - no extenuating circumstances. Blinker (Amber work perfect).
I have realized reality I need a new complete assy - here is my question...
I use EBay & Amazon for OEM parts, BUT... other than the seller's word (I am Leary) how do I know the difference from a headlight assy that supports night vision and one that is simply Bi-Xenon?
OR... is it the same, but I use my Night vision hardware to replace what the assy 'case' would be?
I welcome your input, I can't drive in the eve with just a few lights out - I respect my Baby too much :o)
Thank you
I can take pics if you deem it necessary. Or anything else you need to assist me - :o)
For example - I am pretty sure A221 820 25 39 DOES mean the assy supports night vision - but I see so many 'last four' numbers with such different claims - is there a manual or guide or a way to confirm?
I have active curve, night vision, auto bright dimming and want a replacement assy 'shell' - a few of my LEDs under the single xenon light went out, all of my systems work so I thought I could use my current hardware in a different 'shell assy'
can any one confirm, deny or have anything to help me? At such an expensive price, I don't want to just take a blind chance... Thank you very much in advance.
Here is my VIN: WDDNG8GXBXAA345626
But I am curious, if you are aware - the common OEM number i am seeing that claims has the Night Vision is A221 820 25 39..... What do the last four numbers represent because I see those change alot on different headlight assy's that people claim suppoirt the night vision and AFS.
Thank you so Much!!!!
Respectfully,
Reese
