Best OBD Scanner for W221?
Can anyone recommend a good scanner that works well with the W221? I know that you get what you pay for, but I believe that there are some Mercedes specific scanners at sensible prices. Any recommendations? or ones to avoid?

I bought an iCarsoft MBII, which does fine for clearing codes and watching some running parameters. For a scanner it’s OK. But... I usually use my used $120 Dell laptop that one of the guys here (thanks, @MBENZTECH ) set up with XENTRY/DAS. Much more useful for testing, actuations, reading stored codes, etc. the only thing I use the scanner for is clearing codes that pop up when I know what caused them, and I’m in a hurry.

One of the cheapest scanners out there now is the Autel AP200. About $63 and will scan all MB specific codes. There's a bunch others out there in the $100-$150 range.

That sounds about right, mine takes several minutes to scan and go through each subsystem, maybe not quite 10 but I guess the more systems/options you have, the longer it probably takes.

To answer the OP's initial question from the 3 scanners I have (iCarsoft MBII, Foxwell 530, Carly) I like the Foxwell 530 the most
If anyone wants to buy my iCarsoft MBII, let me know

the tool might be capable - but various tricks might be needed to get thing to behave - often you have other tools bundled in like vedimo and DTS, which are for grown ups to do special stuff
