I have a question about video input / iphone mirroring for my vehicle. I have a USB port, 12 volt port and the media interface in the handglove.
How can I mirror my iPhone 8 over it?
a couple of companies make after market equipment to do this
be ready to scream (when you see the price) and because apple don't know what they are doing - and or because most of the lazy aftermarket manu of the budget rubbish don't install 6 dollar's worth of BT and WIFI chips in their devices - you often have to use a wire to connect it (but that's not new the current crop of Mercs are in that mess too, funny BMW got it right 3 years ago !)

I can choose in comand Video-AUX.
I connected an AV cable with an RCA converter via the media interface aux cable, but I don't get a picture.
Built in from the factory, I have a reversing camera.
I checked the Comand in Xentry/DAS and the video aux interface is activated there. You can choose there:
Video standard, NTSC, PAL or IPOD.
I tested standard and PAL, unfortunately without success
Can someone give me a advice please?

or using the ipod interface 2 (aka video iPod kit) , but that's much rarer than the star of Bethlehem

If you have the strange socket in the glove box - the later media interface kit (I believe was an option but never knew for definite), then there's a set of lead to do lots of stuff, one of which should be video.... under Video menu is there a Video AUX in ?
then maybe you just need the correct lead... they used to come in a bag with the car with about 3 or 5 leads with the strange proprietary socket (to go in the glove box plug) and the other to fit various devices
these days if u have an apple u will need the apple version with a lightening connector
the top photo is modem stuff the next is for fossil hunters - being special USA probably does it all differently and connected it all up back to front with their own part numbers
you need to hope the USB can cope to do video and pictures... (I don't know - I don't have this - they did a document called the owners manual, it explains how the car works! )
there is nothing about it in the operating instructions. according to this forum you can plug this cable into this connector that I posted
i put this on the aux port
ok i found the problem:
in vehicles with a rear view camera, theAUX video jack cannot be used for externalvideo sources.
dont know if it is for NTG 3.5 , but i have a rear view camera
what a poor crap of entertaiment in an S-Class...

a yellow phono connector is the worst ever possible way to connect video.... its was state of the arc about 30 years ago and should be gladly forgotten, analogue 256 line hideous mush, the screen in a 221 with NTG 3.5 I believe does 1080 lines of res
so you want to push the video in digital HD signal
but it doesn't work that easy. i can't just connect my iphone to this junk mercedes mmi because there are no such cables. so i thought i would try video-aux and cinch.
