Depends on the weather
Foxwell Scanner OBD Tool and Lowering

Has anyone used this? I just watched a video using it on the W221 and I didn't realize it can be used to fully adjust the suspension in increments of mm and inches.
For the same price as lowering links, doesn't seem like a bad option.

Yah, I've got one. It works well, but takes a little getting used to. The instructions and user interface are not as easy as Bluedriver.

I'd like to learn more. Is this a DAS clone?

Wow that has to be the cheapest way to get bidirectional control I have ever seen.

Does it scan and adjust things like Star does? Raise, lower RPM and such.

there are two ways to lower it

1) fit different length link rods to the level sensors so the car is stock but lies where its sitting
2) bugger up the car and get it confused inputting incorrect values - but then it will likely have too little air to have the correct suspension firmness / damping characteristics

I don't get why dragging your CATS on the floor and ripping out the sump plug is deemed desirable? - nor the additional tyre wear and ruining the handling? - not to mention the risk of destroying the air bags bottoming the car out ? especially as you now have to drive far slower for 80% of the trips you make and get a back back - it doesn't look cool - it just looks like a child has wrecked it

My thoughts also...never understood why lowering a car is a desirable thing to do. It looks weird also, imho.

Since we're all passing judgement....someone who would let their suspension crash into the bump stops to achieve a look is someone I wouldn't want to buy a car from. Disclaimer: I am from a part of the country with real winter season so our roads are.....suboptimal. If you live somewhere with runway-smooth roads, then I guess the cost of lowering isn't as bad even though the geometry of the suspension would still be wrong.

I only need to lower it about 1/4" to 3/8" due to the tire setup I have. The only gets driven about 1200 miles a year.. Thanks for the input

lowering is cool if you don't abuse
really changes the drive very much
I can do any level
but all depends where you live
