Central gateway control unit part # 2215408845

Hello,

does anyone know where the central gateway control unit module is located? Apparently this module is not communicating with my parking brake. I want to check it. Any help would be great

that gateway SW update needs rear camera

together with comand screen update - made my autel diagnostic scan the whole car in 6 mins from 35 minutes !!!

Does this part need to be programmed or can I replace it with one that buy off of it?

my autel kit can't programme, its just that it does see all 50 modules in my car - where as any snap-on kit - even updated with 21.4 service release this week !!! only see's 43 modules

this gateway device is supposed to be updated and coded online, so its aligned with Germany - its their record of the what they built and or was subsequently updated with - so when you go on a chassis decode tool and get a print out that's where the info (aka datacard) comes from

so, @BOTUS, what happens if you plug in a used gateway module with different VIN and mileage? i already have a build sheet and know my car's history. does the ZGS have any information required for running the car?

@ Botus thanks for the vote of confidence lol. Didn’t trash anything .. I simply changed something that I shouldn’t have. Being novice I tinkered with center options in the cgw and I temporarily disabled it. That said I was able to re-flash the CGW with a new software and the car is fine.. though I need to thank you Botus for the good laugh..
