Smile Road Trip in my S600

Hi All,

As reported, I wintered in Florida taking my 2007 S600 on the long road trip. Florida was great except for catching COVID. I feel fine but the tests were positive.

Car ran really well on the two day drive home. 21.6 mpg for 1060 miles which is not too bad for a V12. Smooth as silk. These cars are really good cruisers.

Nothing bad to report!

It's a shame we will no longer see V12 engines in the present future
May you have a speedy recovery
Happy Days

Thank you for the recovery wishes. I feel fine. No symptoms at all. Hard to believe this was killing so many over the last three years.

I agree many of us will miss the V12 in the future. I plan to keep mine for as long as I can.

I don't have the V12 but my S550 is DEFINITELY the road trip car in the family. It's like travelling with the living room.

lots of different variants were created funded by US tax payers (in the wuhan labs) targeting certain genetic types. That's not hearsay its fact - check your own government and congress hearings - the number of white teenage girls that took certain vaccines that have now got the "genetic" type 1 diabetes is quite alarming

my sense of smell for hydrocarbons is off the clock since I got it - and had hideous ear ache for the first time in my life - other than that I was OK

Depends on the weather
Glad you had a smooth trip. As many know, I do the trip from MD to central and south FL very often. The most comfortable car to do it in.

Like all the sheeple, I had all of the Vaxes and then I had all of the boosters. I remain asymptomatic with not even a runny nose. The only thing different is for the first time in a decade, I slept through the night without having to get up to pee (I am 72 years old)! Otherwise, no effects from Covid at all.

Next plans for my S600 will be the installation of Clark's new Boost Box to replace his upgraded Voltage Transformer and replacement of the right side O2 sensors. I may also replace that rear end bearing and the flex disk connector. Already made a rez to return to Florida in 2024.

MPG of the S600 seems to be fairly predictable for me. Right around 11.5-12 mixed, and like you near 22 highway.

Dont know a single person that died from Covid.
Funny I got covid twice after I was forced to get vaccinated. Worst reaction to vaccine ever, I thought that was it. Never again.

Best part of covid was empty roads, we traveled a lot and did lots of out of state road trips while others were in their mental lock downs.

I know at least 5 people who died of COVID, including a distant cousin, the man who owned the rental property next to my old home, and the brother of my neighbor. Not to mention the countless people who are dealing diminished capacity as they deal with long COVID.

I'm quadruple vaccinated and had no side-effects to the vaccine other than feeling like I was punched in the arm.

I don't **** with COVID. I treat it like airborne cancer. Just like cancer, some beat it...and some do not.

I mask up daily. Was masked up today getting coffee.

Masks and vaccines are like anti-lock brakes and seat belts.
  • Like anti-lock brakes prevent you from getting into accidents, masks prevent you from getting airborne infections.
  • Like seat belts help mitigate the effects of the accident on your body, vaccines mitigate the effects of the infection on your body.
  • Like seat belts do not prevent accidents, neither do vaccines prevent infections.
Masks are the #1 defense and vaccines are the backup plan when that defense fails.

I tested negative so I guess I am out of the woods. Covid did not spoil my road trip. I found very few masked people south of Virginia. I have no idea who or where I got it from. The car certainly did not notice.

I would do it again in a heartbeat.

the batch they released got the one's they wanted it to - the others I guess still have some money they need to steal - once they have that we'll get much more lively variants

a lot of evidence out there the vaccinations maybe not be a great idea (especially a lot of the USA ones), some suggest a cocktail of vaccinations might be aimed at the exact opposite effect - herd immunity is a funny phase - in nature its the darwin bit (survival of the fittest), but here they mean you're not the genetic mix currently targeted, so just get on with your life

maybe you need a V12 to keep outside the net ?

If Covid doesn't kill me maybe the maintenance on my V12 will get me in the end. Warranty ran out at the end of January.
