Only Key fob in AZ, Car in WI - Now What? Got on plane with fob in pocket after GF dropped me at airport.
Need ride home...
ANY way to start car remotely via the Mercedes SOS type thing? Or any other Ideas?

$500 for my 2009 S600.
I tried to have a second key made for $250 by two different lock and key places here in Portland, Oregon. After hanging around for hours while they tried to clone my key, they both struck out and threw in the towel. Too encrypted without the MB access codes from the motherland in Germany.
Went to a MB dealership and showed drivers license, registration, and a current utility bill with my name and address. Key Fob arrived in two days. Hard key inside Fob was laser cut perfect. They charged I think $450, with a feel sorry discount.

Mine was about $450 in Des Moines. The plastic broke that holds the key blade in, so I had another made at the dealer. Now the other fob broke, so I'll do it again. That old brittle plastic...seems almost impossible to open the fob to change the battery without breaking something in there. I tried buying a NOS OEM key fob on Ebay and programming it at the local key shop, but they said they've tried previously and it is pretty much impossible.

2012 E350 Cabriolet now SOLD to my son
You can transfer your old broken MB electronic guts to the a new EBaY NOS fob..that way you wont need any programming at all. Just make sure it is the same model and key functions. I did it on my E350 A207 IIRC cost me <$100
