My 2012 Mercedes S550 has the Ash/Grey interior and it is in great condition for the years and miles. I am trying to protect the seat bottoms via a cover, but have been unable to source one that fits. I've tried a lot of the options on Amazon and all are too small.
This ask comes from various mechanics and techs that sit in it with dirty clothes, which means I have to scrub everything after. Let me know if you have an idea, I've been using a gray towel but that always comes off and needs re-arranging.
Upholstry shop that does cars and/or boats, could make you one that would be temporary use while car is in the shop. This way its your back side enjoying the always clean supple leather and heat/cool.

That's an interesting idea, any ideas of a price range for such a project? I can see them charging ~$300-500 for one, which compared to $20-40 from Amazon is a lot.

I've thought about this, but it will be very tight unless I cut/modify it, which is more work than I would like to do.

Sorry I don’t have an idea on cost, I was thinking 2 pieces one for seat and back made with elastic all around, ez to slip on and off. some of the commercial seat covers have straps and hooks that make it cumbersome to put on and take off.

So on the suggestion of another member, I contacted GAHH in North Hollywood, CA and they offered to make my cushion cover for me. They are using a leather that matches my color/texture and they say they can perforate it. They quoted $693 which was almost the exact quote I got from Mercedes in Germany when their inventory showed one available (inventory was one off). They are sending me a swatch of the leather for color match with a sample of the perforation.
My plan was to re-cover my existing cushion using my upholstery guy to do the installation using the GAHH perforated leather seat cover. But only if the color match is good. I will post here the results.

That will be nice, how much is your upholstery guy charging for install?
I guess for me that is overkill since mine is in near perfect condition. I'm only looking for something better than a towel, which is what I have reverted to sadly.
For my CLS or E class I used these in the past, but they're too small!

My local upholstery guy charged me $400 to recover the seat back using the OEM cover from Germany. He wants another $400 to do the bottom cushion cover if I can find a decent one. He took a half day, in by 8 am and out by 2 pm. I told him quality was more important than speed. My used bottom cushion from Ebay arrives later today. I will update the outcome. Expensive and time consuming. So sorry I didn't buy a set of seat covers years ago when they were easily available.
Well, I've got some great news. Happy to report I've finally found an option for our seats. It looks and feels so great that I will probably just keep them on full time. I can now wear my dark blue jeans without worrying about messing up the seats. For $50 (two covers) don't expect perfect fitment, but it does the job very well.
