2008 S63 standard sunroof sinking in rear
Just picked up a 2008 S63 AMG with a standard sunroof (non-panoramic).
It all functions normally, however when in fully closed position the rear sinks in. I can correct it by manually raising the tilt slightly, so that it sits flush with the roof, but I do not want to continue relying on this method and want to resolve the issue.
I attempted to search this forum and google for some answers before making this post, however most of the results were for panoramic roof issues.
Any ideas? Anyone with similar past experience?
If you've had recent work done or the batteries have been off for a while, be worth double checking the coding in the roof motor/OCP as LWB/SWB/CL may well have different position settings. You may even find something in WIS for adjusting the closed position.
It could even be as simple as normalizing the motor. DAS/Xentry can guide you through this. Any codes in the OCP?
I will have someone with the software look into it, and report back with any findings or hopefully resolution.

Id goto a shop or the dealer (yikes) and have them re code the sunroof. My car did this randomly one day as well. The re coding fixed it.
Good luck!

I actually did try to recalibrate it myself by holding the button in tilt-up position for 10 seconds, etc but nothing happened. I also ran it through some calibration process on my Autel scanner, where it did go through its process, but did not resolve the sinking issue.
I’d imagine with Xentry it is different and will resolve it.
Good luck!
