Just got an email from my dealer with great news on my ordered s63.
I have a PO number and a production date of 12/10. If i get really lucky and the tides are in my favor, I may see it before 2014.

My dad just placed an order for a s63 4MATIC
We did metallic white, black/black exclusive nappa leather, designo myrtle wood trim, extended trim, burmester high end, air fragrance, surround view, drivers assist package, 10 spoke 20" wheels in silver, red brake calipers... 160k list price, while high I believe it's alot of car for the money.
We haven't heard anything yet as far as production date but I expect we won't see this car until maybe feb/march because of some of the options we ordered (high end surround, designo wood trim) but IMO it's worth waiting to get the car exactly like you want it

To me, this all depends on if you're "picky". Because if colors and interior options are specific to you, then you need to order. But if you just want an S class of any color with mild standard packages, then wait for a lot car.

In my experience the cars are done before their production dates, they are actually on the ships by that date. So if my experience holds true you may see it in 3 weeks.
Your dealer can give you the ship name and you can track its progress. Once it arrives at port in the US it's a week maximum for you to take delivery.
Again, speaking strictly from my experience only (2 ordered g63s)

I ordered a s63 the dealer told me production date was in late November, now they are telling me that the car will arrive in early February. I hope it's worth the wait about 7 months to get a car.... A bit disappointed at the beginning they told me late November.

I ordered it in Aug and was originally told Nov/Dec prod with delivery in Jan or Feb.
Yes, the Exclusive package is the seats and trim.
I was told it wasn't just due to the Exclusive pk, so who knows, maybe the 2 rear seat option or H10 CF/Piano Black trim may also be causing the delay.
On another note, I was able to take a sneak peak at a 2014 S63 4M that just arrived at the dealer. I spent an hr just checking it out from the drivers seat. Obsidian Black, 10spoke 20", w/non-exclusive black interior and Burl walnut. Just amazing, cant get over it (except the burl walnut, not a fan
). The seats were the nicest I've ever been in, they hug you better than the CLS, ML, etc. and way more comfy yet sporty. And the leather on the seats are as good if not better than the designo nappa that I have on the ML63. IMO, the car doesn't look anything like the 221, killer stance, way more presence and refinement, interior is on another level completely.
