Production & Delivery Dates
The VPC is in Baltimore for the East Coast so in theory, if you lived near the VPC, it could be a day or so faster to get to the dealership.
But again, with the holidays, it may drag on a little longer...
So per your scenario, I would say you would see the car early January, I would say if you were very lucky a day or two before January..
If completion is the 17th, they will look to load it within a few days after that.
For example my g63 was at the dock in Europe last year on February 13th. It didn't leave that port until the 16th. It arrived in the US on the 26th and was at my dealer 2 days later.
However, if you factor in the holidays, i could see it take a few days longer.
So best case before New Year's and worst case mid January....not bad.....however I would love to hit best case. We host a huge family New Years event every year, and I would love to have the car to show off to family. LOL
I am still yellow and first decade december, which is making me a bit anxious as there's only 5 days left in the decade. My dealer is not worried and says I will be in my car in January - he was adamant that it wouldn't be an issue but I will have to wait and find out.
He said the delays are being caused by the nappa leather, I am wondering if my H10 trim is the hold up though. Fingers crossed production starts and completes as scheduled.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I keep going back to Collection Auto Group.
This conversation may be better for PMs but have you seen their new trucks for delivering cars? They used to hire truckers, but they bought their own trucks and haul the cars to customers. It's pretty sweet. It's like a Nascar truck.

If you're a January car, then I must be a February car....

My delay was due to the h10 carbon fiber/piano black trim being backordered.
The annoying part of this is how Mercedes didn't make any changes or provide any updates til today, when the car was supposed to be done. However I'm glad the delay isn't as long as I've heard about.

Wow, so you and I have the same completion schedule? Oh God, I hope I'm not delayed a month....
! I doubt you will be delayed, i was only delayed because of the carbon trim. That is unless of course you have some limited availability options...
Indeed I never miss church!
So far, I don't think I have a limited availability issue. Just thought of something though......if your completion is the 10th, and you're in the red, then I should be hitting the red within the next week...I would think...
