Maybe they want to keep that car available for test drives. If they choose to they can sell that car but they are choosing not to sell.

This is news to me. Of the two dealers in this area we visited, one of them had the dealer car available for test drives but the GM was using it his personal car. The other dealer sold their "dealer" car and only had cars available for test drive if one wasn't sold yet.

There were some Euro demo cars in the US/Canada for the model introduction but none ended up at a dealer.

The dealer demos are definitely US models and will be sold eventually.

Actually, I am a bit bummed. Why tell me such an elaborate untruth? Of course, maybe that is what his boss told him. He specifically said the test model was not EPA approved for purchase in the US.

Most sales people I know can't even properly demo the car because they don't the functionality of half the features. They wouldn't know a euro model if they see one.
