Finally!!
It is possible.
In fact, my MB sales guy that I had been working with for many years retired a couple of years ago. I ended up with a relatively new sales guy at my dealership. He did not activate my Sirius radio but it was working when I left the dealership since it was in demo mode. For Sirius if you did not activate it with the dealer while you were at the dealership, it is likely you are in demo mode. For the MBrace, they are suppose to activate this but it was not activated even though the sales guy went through the motions on his IPad device. I believe they require your credit card info to set both these up so that when the free 6 mth/3 mth service ends, they can bill you (you would need to contact before the free period if you do not want to continue). You should know if MBrace is active since they would have asked you for a password should you need to call them such as if your vehicle gets stolen. If you did not give a password to MBrace it is likely your are not set-up and this would be why your Intune radio does not work.
This was frustrating for me since the sales guy I used to have at this dealership always set this up with me in the car the day of delivery.
Did they talk to you at all about MBrace or Sirius at the dealership?
To check on your activation of MBrace, go to mbusa.com and click on MBrace at the bottom and there are phone numbers there. For Sirius, your COMAND system on the car will have an electronic serial number (ESN) and a phone number to call to activate the Sirius radio or to check to make sure it is activated. My Sirius radio worked fine when I picked up the car but since I have been through this routine before I called both MBrace and Sirius to make sure I was activated and found out I was not.
So, are you saying that even though I get SiriusXM (everything on it), that I may not really be connected? I am going to call the sales guy tomorrow to ask about the Internet Radio and why it doesn't work.

I think they'd be fine providing the offsets are the same......
the roof racks from my E class also fit on my S

my internet radio was activated at delivery, so it is possible......

You are certainly "connected" if Sirius is working but since I was impatient the day after delivery I wanted to make sure Sirius was setup properly and my MBrace was set up properly. I found out a day after delivery that even though the sales guy went through and ask for a credit card using his IPad, I was not set up. So maybe it takes a few days for the IPad application to connect to MBrace and Sirius. When I talked to Sirius rep. the day after delivery they told me I was still in "dealer demo mode" so Sirius was working in my car but my account was not set up.

Personally, I don't even know if Sirius works for me or not, just don't like it on my other cars and will not use it.

Wolfman: Sorry for the misinterpretation. Sirius and MBrace are two separate companies.
Whether one gives them a cc number or not is not the issue. Sirius needs to be notified somehow to set up the free trial period. If one wants to continue the service it is advisable to give the cc number. If one wants just the trial period, I do not believe they require the cc number. The cars are set-up (I believe at the VPC) in dealer demo mode. To get the free trial period started, Sirius needs to be notified either via the dealership or the car owner. I have been through this a number of times with my '06 S550, my '08 S550, my '08 Acura MDX, my '12 Ford F150, and now my '14 S550. I do enjoy the Sirius radio to listen to CNBC. I also have had an account with MBrace (used to be Teleaid) for a number of years and realize the two companies have no connection to each other.
Correct: If you decline the apps, you do not get the Internet Radio.
Has anyone here used it yet?
I did not activate MBrace in my SL when I bought it in November, nor have I activated it in my S550, I gues I don't know what I am missing, but what do you guys think?

Actually the apps I am referring to are in the COMAND unit. You have 3 months free service of the apps (assuming you have an active MBrace account). Things like Yelp, Google Maps, News, etc. are in these apps. Also one of the features is the TuneIn Internet radio. But you must activate your 6 mth free subscription to MBrace and your 3 mth subscription to the apps through MBrace to get them to work in the COMAND unit.

Reason I am asking is that the tunein app on my iPhone will always forget the selected audio stream for my favorites when relaunched.
Who wants to listen to a low quality stream when high quality one is available.
Thanks!
Attached is the MB Apps fact sheet from MBUSA. The traffic cameras are pretty cool since you can monitor the view of the flow of traffic along a navigated route.
I have not seen any of the in car apps you guys are talking about. So, I will try to go to the globe icon in the car and see if I can access any of these apps.
On another note, I was trying out the "Auto Pilot" in city traffic this past hour. It works fine except for one thing. It does not take off again after it comes to a complete stop and there is traffic ahead. The engine turns on but I had to touch the accelerator to give it a small boost to proceed. Then it works fine until the next stop and I had to touch accelerator again. Does anyone know what the deal is with this?

You must sign up for MBrace through the iButton to activate your 6 mths free MBrace and 3 months free Apps. If you did not do this, you do not have internet radio. Yes they will asked for your credit card here and you just need to cancel the apps before the 3 mths free service so they do not charge your credit card. It sounds like you did not sign up and therefore you do not have internet radio activated.
Auto Pilot--It sounds like maybe you are confusing Distronic Plus (semi-auto pilot) with ECO (the engine stop/start feature). ECO is the feature you are using that cuts the motor at a stop light while Distronic Plus is the cruise control type feature that allows you to "auto pilot" drive.

No, I know all about the ECO and Distronic Plus. If I have it set on Distronic Plus, isn't the car suppose to take off by itself after a complete stop? On mine, the engine turns on but it does not start to move forward. I don't think that's the way it's suppose to work, is it?

Did they have you sign up for the ALL of MBrace including the apps (6 mths free Mbrace basic and the other two MBrace packages for 3 mths free which includes the apps)?
When using Distronic Plus did you let the car come to a complete stop or did you stop with the brake pedal by using your foot? if you let the car STAY on auto pilot by not applying the brake with your foot the car will take off by itself. If you stop the car with applying your foot to the brake pedal it shuts off the Distronic Plus and the car will need the driver to step on the gas to go again. Hope this helps since I have played with this a number of times.
- MBrace (basic)
- MBrace Plus
- Mercedes-Benz Apps
I activated the first two for my trial but didn't activate the third, so I don't have any of the apps working. This keeps me from using the TuneIn radio, google local search, yelp, news, weather, traffic cameras, etc.

I also brought up the Auto Pilot thing with the sales guy and he told me that it's working the way it's suppose to, but I think he is wrong. I allow the car to break itself and come to a complete stop by itself. Then, when traffic starts to move, my engine starts up again, but my car fails to move forward. I don't think that's the way it's suppose to work. I believe I remember when I drove the demo several months ago, that it was stopping and going again by itself when in Auto Pilot.

You should try this with the ECO button on. Then try it with the ECO button off. I cannot remember if I had the ECO button on or off when I have used this feature. It seems to me it may operate differently with the ECO on then when it is off.
I love technology but I am sure we are all smart people here but we all struggle to figure this stuff out a bit. Oh that's right. I am a male and my wife tells me I should read the directions!!!
