Price went up $1500.
The way it is currently presented on the website shows the $925 transportation fee included so it appears it went up $2425. This appears to be a change in how they present it on the website but the actual price went up $1500.

I tried to get them to change my tires to the approved non run flats and they said they would not do this.
If you want to change them to non run flats once your car comes in you have to work this out with your dealership who will work with MB corporate on this issue. I am told they look at this on a case by case basis but it is your dealership that has to work it out.

For what its worth--my actual '14 S550 4matic MSRP sticker states city at 16 and highway at 26 mpg. The combined city/highway number is 19mpg. It also states 5.3 gallons per 100 miles.

That's why there was hooplah on Mercedes for false advertisement. I posted screen caps several months ago in a different thread on the forum about how the 20s were said to come with performance tires and the 19s were said to come with runflats. When I got my car - it had 20s, and runflats, not performance.
Switched them to performance at dealer and the ride is MUCH softer, and much more enjoyable.

The factory will NOT switch them out - even to approved Non Runflats.
It must be done at the dealer. There should be NO charge for this and should be covered under the same tire and wheel warranty you originally purchased (if you purchased it).

Works for me, hope they don't scratch my wheels in the process...
I live in Michigan but spend my winters in warmer climates. I wanted something with decent treadlife and the ability to handle the limited snow & ice that I'll see in Michigan before January. My first choice was the Pilot Sport A/S 3's, but Michelin doesn't make this tire in the correct size for the fronts (staggered 20" wheel set up). I've opted to try tirerack's highest rated all season tire that fits my car, the Hankook Ventus S1 noble2's. My dealership has agreed to purchase these tires and mount them prior to delivery; no cost to me. We'll see how it goes...
