Thumbs up Set up your favorite buttons

Life became a bit easier after programming the keypad's secondary functions to my liking: for example, passenger seat massage, splitview and ac on/off are now much easier to navigate
the buttons even have icons showing their new functions while viewing.....anyone else using this?

I would like to do this...but haven't taken the time to go back and read that part of the manual again.

Life became a bit harder when they introduced the touchpad. Or at least I have not figured out how to do the same as you can do with the keypad shortcuts.

Do you mean page 52 of this manual:
http://www.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/DigitalA...015/MY15_S.pdf

The favourites are crippled with the touchpad option. There is no keypad, even a simulated one. You do not get any info when touching a button as there are no buttons.

I expect this will be improved with a SW update but currently the touchpad option lacks a lot of those features that come with the keypad.

I find the touchpad is worthless and uncomfortable to rest your hand. I wish they had left the 2014 design in place.

For us the 2014 design is still available (the keypad). Touchpad is an option at extra cost (not more than a few Euros though).

I wish it was the same here. I'd skip it in a heartbeat. The touch function does not have the fluidity of a good smartphone, it's laggy and placed in the worst possible place. Plus I miss the keypad. What engineer said "where should we put a capacitive touch screen? How about right where a person is going to rest their hand! Sure that's it, no chance of them accidentally changing radio stations or anything with that placement". Damn Germans, sometimes I'm convinced they do this crap on purpose....

I find the touchpad working fine as a place to rest the hand. Perhaps one needs to get a bit used to it.

I also expect MB coming with enhancements to fix the lacking features. They obviously were behind the schedule when the touchpad was not introduced for MY 2014 and looks like they took a short-cut when introducing it for the 2015.

I have not checked how it works on the 205, I assume the features are the same.
